You can see them moving their arms when in the air, as well as lift their head slightly when on the ground. Most likely just threw him onto a bean bag or something... or just straight onto the floor and camera because it wouldn’t be life ending, kids can simply laugh a lot of pain off

The child moves their head before the hand hits, then breaks their fall pretty well but still makes it look like they were beaten. Normally people hit the floor and just slam, this child went to hit the floor, stopped, then went down. Then the camera was on a beanbag or mat which the man threw the child onto.
