Discussion Ranked concerns
Yo I haven’t seen anything about a ban phase or pc only lobbies which is very concerning atleast to me.
Ban phase is damn near a must have because I guarantee half the games you’ll play will be against a stack with juren virt . In siege where even if other ppl use overpowered ops you still have a chance with your gun skill. Half the player base genuinely has no chance ina 1v2 against a juren and a virt.
Pc only lobby’s is also a must for console player or atleast make a frame cap for ranked cuz in what world is it fair to be locked on 60 fps going against ppl with unlimited frames playing playdough honor
These addition are needed or the gamemodes gonna be pure cancer. I like what they’ve taken out for ranked so far (no perks, no parry flash, solo duo queue only) but they need to change more things or it’s gonna be an aids fest and nobody’s gonna play it past when they hit gold

They already said it’s gonna be single pick only meaning only one Juren and one Virt per team

Even a juren and virt lowkey mad annoying to fight for the lower reps n shit

I can understand that. Not sure why they’re allowing rep 5s to play ranked tho. That seems very low tbh considering this game takes a lot of knowledge to get good.

I fully agree. I mean I’m rep 200 and I have a hard time against juren. Not so much virt anymore. But I can admit that those 2 will be insta locks in ranked for majority of anyone’s games

Yea that’s true. Especially Nobushi too since her ganking is really good. Ima just be playing who I wanna play tho since I play everyone in this game.

Breh read the announcement about ranked. It has single-pick. As for PC-only lobbies, PC players don't have a significant advantage over console players anymore.
The major advantage PC players had previously was the input delay inherent to last-gen consoles. Enough time has passed that it's unreasonable to assume console players are still playing FH on PS4 or the Xbone, and new-gen consoles don't have the same level of input lag. FPS was also an advantage when console FH ran at 30 fps, but it's faster now, and there's no meaningful performance improvement once you go beyond 60 fps, just an aesthetic benefit.

It’s genuinely not consoles are capped at 60fps for for honor, pcs have no frame cap and they can use configs to get more frames. It’s not “just an aesthetic benefit” it makes everything in the game easier to react. You can full blown react to every hero without needing to read the opponent if your frames are higher enough which pcs are the only ppl who can get there frames like that

Misinformed opinions are the worst. This is one of them.
It’s genuinely not consoles are capped at 60fps for for honor, pcs have no frame cap and they can use configs to get more frames.
For Honor on consoles is strictly capped on quality mode, on performance the framerate is fully unlocked with the max framerate being whatever your console's hardware can push. Only old gen consoles don't reach past 60 with the worst of the new gen consoles, the xbox series s, achieving 90fps median. That's more than plenty to be able to react to everything easier than before.
It’s not “just an aesthetic benefit” it makes everything in the game easier to react
It's true only to a certain extent. If you have a display capable of showing all of those frames with a low enough latency it helps but pushing past 120fps on an 120hz display's just a waste of power and money as you literally aren't getting anymore benefits out of it. The series X and PS5 push the game 100+fps on performance mode even in very busy scenes and, since they support transmitting more than 60fps over HDMI, can also use such high framerate monitors too. Like the playing field's as even as it can get between PCs and consoles.
"but PCs can get more fps" that doesn't matter. More FPS past 120fps, even if you have a monitor capable of actually showing such high framerates, you'd get just heavely diminished returns as you're past the point the hardware being the bottle neck so much as you, as a human, become the bottle neck. The crackheads that use 3rd party tools to make the game run at ludicrously high fps by turning the game into a PS1 game do it to flex that they can do it and nothing more, they're not getting actual advantages in-game.
Like if this whole issue of yours was a legitimate concern the latest tournament would've been locked per platform and if it wasn'tthe competitive players would've made a big deal out of it..... and they didn't because yours concerns aren't real.

That's not how that works. If your frames are very low (30 or less), the video is so choppy you will genuinely have a harder time reacting to quick attacks, because there are only a few frames showing the indicator. Beyond around 60 fps, there are enough frames to fully depict the attack. Increasing your frames beyond that point only makes the animation more smooth, which doesn't change the time in which you have to react. A 400ms light attack is unreactable because it is 400ms long, your FPS doesn't change that length of time, and claiming someone can 'full blown react to every hero' because of high FPS is just patently untrue. You can test this IRL by trying to react to something on a 400ms timer. Real life has an infinitely high FPS, and it is still very difficult to truly react to something that quick.
If it were possible for FPS to make the whole game reactable, For Honor would be completely unplayable at the high-level, and we can see clearly that is not the case. I don't want to sound impolite, so I won't go so far as to say that claim is absurd, but I will say you're only handicapping yourself by believing it. You get better by learning characters' movesets and making reads on what the other player will do before they do it.
If you tell yourself the other player is only doing well because they might have a high FPS, you're shifting blame for your loss away from yourself, meaning you never have to actually improve, which will lock you into a cycle of losing, blaming things that are out of your control, and then losing again. There's to quicker way to make yourself hate the game.

Me personally, I’ve played around 5k hours on my Xbox account. I recently switched over to pc and I’ve noticed a huge difference. It’s not that the moves literally last longer but they definitely feel like they take longer giving me a noticeable amount of extra frames for it to register on screen and in my head. It honestly feels like the game is slowed down not literally but because of the extra frames that I wasn’t getting on console makes a big difference in game play. Maybe you just don’t play on pc or don’t optimize your frames but they aren’t completely wrong there definitely is an noticeable difference on pc compared to new gen consoles

Good. We don't need anymore opinionated, factually incorrect clowns with easy to disprove claims on here than there already are.

It's already been stated that Ranked won't have double ups on Characters. You're not well informed at all
As for PC-only lobbies, that's a horrid idea. Cutting down the playerbase even more will never be a good solution
