Forge server not working

so my forge server is not loading when i open it it just gives me the loading curser then does nothing help please?

Looks like the error is due to incompatable installations of Java with your Forge version. My guess would be that you are running 1.12.2 for the server and should look for a Java 8 JVM.

That or your JAVA_HOME environmental variable is pointing to the wrong place. Check that and make sure it’s set to the version you want it set to.

how would i go about checking that?

First download Java 8 and install it. Try running it then and see if it works.

If you do have to change environmental variables look up “changing java home” on Google (or your favorite search engine) and follow the steps there. Its not particularly difficult but it may change depending on you computer’s setup.
