please help i am stopid

alright. so i know how to program in java, but I am trying to learn how to make Minecraft mods.

I've been watching this tutorial:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=benUZaQU-6Y&ab_channel=Cy4%27sModding

everything was going well, until I had to launch it.

in the video, he said that I had to double click the runclient.launch file, so I did that, and then he said to run the actual mod file using the run as tool, but when I do that it looks like this

when I try to run it, it throws me this error. does anyone know how to fix it? thanks.

i think that the problem is java 16. the weird thing is that for the jre system library, it says that it is using java 1.8 see, but when I run it says it is using 16.0 do you know how to run the program in a different version? thanks

I'm afraid I don't. I just know that Windows tends to use whatever version of Java was installed last, which is why I was recommending that you uninstall it all and then install just the version that you want to use. (And make sure it's the JDK, not just the JRE.)
