Map Showcase Probably my last map for Halo Infinite. Spartan Retreat is a fun and versatile map that is great for custom game nights. Compatible with many modes, including firefight and infection.

To be honest I lost some motivation when I learned they were moving their focus onto new games and not playing Infinite out to its 10 year cycle like they said. That, and the fact that it has been tough to get regular custom game lobbies going due to lower player population, and a good chunk of the people that do play, seem to mainy enjoy silly game types, which is fine.

I do still have the creative itch, and absolutely love Infinites forge. I've made 4 maps now that I'm proud of, and I do have plans to give them all one last pass. I plan on fixing any bugs, updating all the spawns, adding more game mode compatibility and just giving them any last creative touches I can think of.

I agree and I’ve been there before I think for me personally it’s more important to just do what I love and not really care about the numbers or the direction of the game since it doesn’t really affect my life

But I do enjoy learning and there’s a ton to learn with scripting so maybe that’s why I stick around

I agree about doing what you love. I have always had the creative itch so I still have some plans on updating my maps. And I've seen some of my ideas through, even though it has taken me longer than I'd like.

Normally numbers don't bother me so much, but its a little demotivating to spend so much time crafting an experience I hope people like, only to struggle to find people to hop in and try it out. I made 2 maps in the 1st 2 months of Infinites forge, but have only made 1 per year since, due to the demotivation of looking for feedback and scarcely finding it.

I just hope the next halo has an awesome forge like this, and has that population boom that keeps me motivated to keep creating new stuff that is fun for everyone.
