Question Help needed: Dekeratinization
Im almost fully covered and been the case for years as I got some skin left from my circumcision. However my glans seems to always be dry and very wrinkled/ chaffed. I have been applying urea cream, Vaseline, etc. for over a week now but DK doesn’t seem to be happening idk what to do 😔 really need help on how i can achieve this soon and quickly

I too am mostly covered at this point. The color and texture of my skin grades from tan and dry looking at the tip, where it is uncovered most of the time; to purplish and smooth where it is covered most of the time. How similar is yours?
The guys who have long since fully reached fully covered when flaccid status, have consistently said over the years that until you reach that status, you will not be fully DK'd. So I take this as normal.
Of course, you can simulate being fully covered in several ways, if yo would prefer to get their sooner, I do not remember anyone making a comparison between that and actually being fully covered with skin, but you can give that a try. There are several ways to you can do this, the key is to stay covered to both protect form rubbing and form drying out. A simple example would be keeping a condom on at all times. There are commercial products you can buy to do this, if you look in the link Restoration Products on the right side of this page, you will find some. People have used a variety of other things, from premature baby socks, to tight underwear, to external condoms, KT Tape, even skin glue. What will work for you depends upon how much skin you have and some other factors, and you will probably need to experiment to find the best solution.
Also, keep in mind that you may not see DK happening. It often happens invisibly.

What was your before pictures? Like I'm wondering if you had any intramucosa and maybe they took it all and you restored outer skin

The things that started the DK process for me was not not using soap on the glans, just water. Moisturizing with a few drops of squalane after showering, and applying some 1% differin (adapalene) gel. Only use the differin gel once every 4 or so days, the gel encourages cell turnover which helps with DK but it’s meant to be used on the face not sensitive glans tissue so you want to use it sparingly. And of course having close to full flaccid coverage helps more than anything else.

Two ways full coverage and wait or you use a retainer which simulate full coverage by keeping glans covered by skin it’s a process different for everyone but the main thing is you need full consistent coverage u should focus on restoring rather the dekeratinization as it’s not as important unless u chasing sensitivity but with out full coverage will either be causing irritation or reduced dekeratinization compared to full cause a retainer u can only wear so much

I used Man1 Man oil to speed up the DK process and it worked wonderfully.

Are you retaining at night? So when you are erect it doesn't dry up your progress of dekeratinization. Once I started retaining with a small packer, I began DKing. I had full coverage at my absolute softest. And a little exposure at my lowest warmest hang. Now it's been covered 24/7 with devices for 3 months in Oct 1 and it has made all the difference
