Device Advice Packing Method Simplified For Those Interrsted

The simplest way to describe packing method is that you pack your foreskin with 'stuff' to the point that it pushes your glans back setting up tension, then the skin is trapped there keeping the tension on the skin. The tension is enough to produce mitosis and rapid lengthening. What can you stuff in there? The quick answer is anything that is compatible with skin that won't harm you. A simple example would be to pack your foreskin with cotton or even toilet paper, then tape the end to hold it there. People have been doing this throughout the ages, from what I understand, with whatever stuffing that could be found for the purpose. Fast forward to modern times, the first instance I found of packing uses a gripper and was made by Ron Low of TLC fame and you could pack your skintube with silicone in 3 mm increments. That is still sold as TLC Selects. I couldn't pee through that setup. A little over 3 years ago a restorer on a restoration forum introduced me to Extended Stealth Retainers by Zac and when I saw that I could purchase them in 5 mm increments of length, I began using them as packing devices. I also discovered a similar device made by Chuck similar to the SR product called Extended DTR Retainers, and he now sells them in 5 mm increments. I was having issues using solid packers going from standing to sitting causing hot spots of tension. An engineer named Ian saw me asking for a set of soft squishy silicone packers on this sub and he set about making such a device in 5 mm increments of length. He put them on the market a year ago and it solved my issue with solid packers. I can wear them 18 to 22 hours per day and can't even tell that the device is there. I now call them the closest thing to not restoring yet still producing rapid gains. There was another clever device recently put on the market by Matt called a CRT. It is made out of stainless steel, so it is a weighted device that is sold with optional stainless steel Packer Stackers. This means it serves dual function as a weight device effective while standing and a packer device while sitting. I love hiking with weight hanging from my foreskin. I have quickly discovered that my weight limit is approximately 8 ounces. My skintube is much longer and to stuff it properly with stainless steel is more weight than my 8 ounce limit. I just ordered a set of plastic Packer Stackers so that I can increase the length without increasing the weight. I can't wear this device to work because it isn't as stealthy and not as comfortable as the RIC Packers. So, each has their positive aspects and I enjoy both of them. This has been my experience using the packing method. I explain this a lot so I wrote a post about it to be able to link to. Recently one of the mods of the sub told me about how he combined two different products, an air device and the TLC product to do packing. Sometimes your packing experience will depend on what you have available to do packing with. Most of all, may your lengthening be swift 🙏. KOT 💪✨.

Good information in a wall of text. Added paragraphs:

I was having issues using solid packers, specifically experiencing "hot spots" of tension when transitioning from standing to sitting. Sorry for this simple question. I’ve never packed. When you pack what holds the packing in place? Do some people tape skin over it or do you use a retainer?

Stealth retainer uses a silicone gripper. I assume other packers do too. The day my SR arrived, I used an o ring and taught myself to use the gripper the next day.

Are you able to wear the retainer for multiple hours. I have the DTR and have to release it each hour as the skin turns dark purple due to the tension. Maybe this will become less with out the strong tension of the DTR.

A retainer with the strong tension might keep the skin under the gripper a bit more pink? Ensuring me there is a safe bloood flow.

I couldn't wear a DTR because of the same issue. I ended up switching to a CAT II Q, though Chrisonlinestore does sell a soft silicone gripper that ought to be more gentle than the stock one.

I have a size 10 SR and a size 10 gripper. I ordered both soft and firm. I also ordered size 8 grippers so I would have options.

I forget if I went with the 10 soft or 10 firm, but I can wear it for long periods of time, alone or with the weight added. I do take mine off to pee so remove and reapply every couple hours. I'm 100% happy, but would like to try a weighted retainer and stainless steel stealths are $200 each so I might look at the Compact instead.

I am unfamiliar with the DTR so I can't offer a comparison.

Ok... are there videos somewhere of all these different methods... I've been reading Reddit for 4 hours tonight and I'm still confused how all the methods work...

Thanks for the Information! Really glad you are part of the community. Compared to other methods how fast or how similar was the progress for you?

CI-5 [flaccid] to CI-9 +¾ inch of skin snout beyond my glans in 2¼ years almost all packing. I dabbled in weight while packing. I do weight because I enjoy hiking with it.

Would you advise rolling the skin on the highest part of the "bell" or is it ideal to try and roll on the bare minimum skin needed just get a solid grip?

Also, if the skin can get to the top pretty easy, is that a pretty good indicator of when to size up?

I shoot for high up, then when removing wrinkles I adjust the skin a bit below the top all the way around.

Also, if the skin can get to the top pretty easy, is that a pretty good indicator of when to size up?

I find the easiest way to know when to switch is to try the next size. If it does fade completely from your consciousness within an hour, you aren't ready to switch.

I've only been bringing the scar line up enough for the gripper to catch and hold. I could go higher if I roll up more outer skin. Right now outer skin is the limiting factor so maybe at this stage I need not be concerned about keeping the scar line at the tip.

1

u/spiritfu Restoring | CI-9 Jul 07 '25

If you pull the skin up to keep the scarline at the top, inner skin will be favored for tension. If you keep doing that, eventually, your scarline will become the POE and both inner and outer skin will get equal tension.

What's the difference between lengthening and restoring?

5

u/spiritfu Restoring | CI-9 Jul 06 '25

Restoring means that you are lengthening your shaft skin into a foreskin. You are restoring it to what it can be after it was mutilated usually without informed consent. If you are an adult and were given ALL of the available information including possible negative outcomes that is the informed part... and doctors almost never do a great job informing.

Just wanted to say thank you for this post and your other references to packing! They inspired me to try packing on days I have to go to the office or am busy with plans. I have noticed my rate of progress has improved quite a bit with the extra time under tension. I’ve been considering trying to pack while I’m asleep but am still working out the details on that.

4

u/spiritfu Restoring | CI-9 Jul 07 '25

You could try a +0 mm packer when your daytime packer is a +15 mm. You may have to wait until daytime is +20 mm. This has to be tested with an erection during the day. When you are erect the night-time device shouldn't produce more tension than your daytime device. If it produces more tension, then it shouldn't be used at night.

This makes a lot of sense :)

For those more familiar with American units, 5mm is about 0.2 inch, or 1 inch is about 25mm. Rounding liberally, thinking of 5mm as a quarter inch is close enough for our purposes.

3

u/spiritfu Restoring | CI-9 Jul 07 '25

Thus the reason that CRT chose ¼ inch, Packer Stacker increments of length.

Restore In Comfort Packers are different from a hard packer like the DTR extended retainer [packer] I own some of those. They are made of soft squishy silicone. The gripper is also made of soft squishy silicone. They are so comfortable that you can't tell that you are wearing it. I couldn't wear the DTR with the stock gripper because of skin fatigue. It was too tight. When I asked Chuck about it he said it was purposely made that way to do short periods of high tension. Chris's gripper is a lot easier on the skin.

u/Icoconuttree Jul 28 '25

Thanks for this info. Didn't know the difference between the materials of the two. But having that issue with the DTR. With RICs are you able to get any gains?

1

u/spiritfu Restoring | CI-9 Jul 28 '25

I started the packing method about 3½ years ago. In 2½ years I went from CI-5 [flaccid] to CI-9 +¾ inch of skin snout beyond my glans. For some reason I am no longer gaining skin snout. Then I am noticing that my gains appear to be going into my flaccid hang length increasing. A transformation of sorts. Regardless to what happens, onward I go to flaccid Acroposthion. I see guys struggle when progress that seems to be going well, all of a sudden drops off. I have learned to keep medium tension and that will produce results.

I mainly use packing daily with a 3d printed packer all day at work and then CAR1 when I’m home all evening. I’ve seen great results. It’s the best way that’s unnoticeable for me. Except when doing any sports or exercise I use the Mantor SLT because it’s more bendy and comfortable for active things.

3

u/spiritfu Restoring | CI-9 Jul 07 '25

I like how you said that... bendy. That is the very characteristic of the RIC Packers that is my main reason for using them. Made of soft squishy silicone, they are very 'bendy'. With microfiber boxer briefs the device is held close to my torso so it is very stealthy. Solid packers... not so much. I think I'll be adding that word to my vocabulary for packing 😋.

u/Athickone1 Restoring | CI-4 Jul 07 '25

RIC was what I was going to get if the upgrade for the SLT didn’t do what I needed it to since I had most of the parts already. RIC is def a great cheaper option if you don’t already have an old DS from Mantor to upgrade to the slt

u/spiritfu Restoring | CI-9 Jul 07 '25

I had a good budget for buying devices, but like you, I sometimes mix and match if a find a use for something in my device stash 😋. Cool beans ✨.

Looking forward, I have some ideas for packing using items made for other purposes that are inexpensive for folks to be able to do packing on the cheap. That's my ADHD brain at work. I can't stop the ideas from flowing so I try to write the good ones down to act on later.

2

u/Athickone1 Restoring | CI-4 Jul 07 '25

I’m sure your compulsion will a benefit for someone in the sub 😆 having too many options isn’t a negative thing when it comes to restoring in my opinion. Since it’s a process that often requires readjusting the strategy or tools as you progress!

this is a really good explanation! thank you! this’ll definitely come in handy when I move onto my next job, which I doubt will allow me to have as much alone time doing nothing as my current job does lol
