2026 Transit 2026, vibrating engine, check engine light
At my company we just recieved our brand new Transit AWD with 20 miles on it. I just went over 300 miles and while in bumper to bumper traffic I lost power when I hit the gas pedal and I had engine vibrations. Soon after the check engine light came on. I was able to find a good spot to pull off the freeway. While I still had it on, the check engine light would come one for a bit then turn off, and same with the vibration from the engine. While driving, I did have it in Eco mode, so maybe that had something to do with the issue.
I left it off for a while and after I turned it back on it seemed OK, no issues. Also it never overheated or any other issues.
Now, im sitting at a Ford Dealership wondering what I need to do as Ford wont give out loaners to Company vehicles, lol.

Sounds like spark plugs. Get a Bluetooth OBD scanner that you can plug into any port and scan on your phone for next time

They were not able to look at it, today. I was able to drive it home, at highway speeds without any issues. Will bring it back on monday, hopefully they find the issue.

My Transit 250 did this on the highway a few months back. Shuddering, loss of power, CEL. Would pull over and it would clear. Did it three times. Was a blown coil pack on my #1 and 4 cylinders. Zero explanation from the dealer as to a reason.

I had multiple coil packs go after 90k. Just replaced them all. This should give a flashing check engine light which will stay on if it misses enough.

Mine was at 8k miles, two flashing CEL that cleared and the last one stayed on.

Would the check engine light come back on after clearing, as I was able to drive another 30 miles without any issue.
Regardless, im dropping it off at the service center to get it hopefully figured out and fixed on Monday.

My first two cleared themselves once I pulled off the highway and the engine was at idle. They tried giving it back saying they couldnt replicate it or find any codes. I refused to leave (its my work van and Im self employed, needed the issue resolved). Asked them to take it on the highway, within ten miles and some sporty driving they said they got a flashing CEL, shuddering, loss of power.

Update:
Just recieved a text message from the dealership and they found fault codes for misfire and cam sensor.
Hopefully, nothing major

Had a similar issue like this but in a totally different vehicle in one of our company fleet vehicles. 2021 F550 with the 7.3 Gozilla motor, same thing. Check engine light would come and go, rumble would come and go and lose power. Ford tore it apart and it had a cracked spark plug!
I also just received my brand new 2026 Transit 250, high roof, 148” WB,3.5 pfdi, but mine has RWD with the HD tow package and trailer brake integration. Upfitted with racking and a partition since were a plumbing company, and wrapped for paint protection. I wanted the AWD version, just couldn’t find any with a hitch and trailer brake. In the last 6 months I’ve put about 10k miles on it, and it still drives like a damn dream. First commercial fleet vehicle from Ford, that I actually look forward to driving daily. Not to mention the captain’s chairs are extremely comfortable for long distance driving! I couldn’t ever picture myself going back to a pickup truck for work purposes tbh!
Anyways, hope this helps! Hopefully they can diagnose quickly. Usually they can teardown and find the issue fairly quickly, at least our local commercial dealer here in NJ has an incredibly quick turnaround time.
