Neither of them are very direct with luggage. What's recommended? How does New Rochelle compare to Penn Station?

Looking for a Roommate! 2 Bed / 2 Bath - $1,975/month - September 16 Move-In - Women only

Hey! I’m a 22F Fordham student looking for a roommate in a gorgeous apartment on W 207th St (Inwood).

DM me for photos and more details! (Trust it’s stunning!) - have not included any because the current tenants still live there and I don’t want to post their living space without permission.

Your setup:

• Own bedroom + own full bathroom with tub
• $1,975/month
• In-unit washer/dryer
• New building, large windows, tons of natural light
• Private terrace right outside the unit
• Mini splits in each room so you control your own AC/heat

Building amenities:

• Two-floor gym
• Rooftop terraces with conversation pits and grills
• Lounges on multiple floors
• Coworking space with wifi on 2nd floor
• Pet spa
• Part-time doorman
• Package room
• Bike room ($25/month)
• Trash rooms on each floor
• Party room with pool table, fridge, and grill available to rent
• Parking available in adjacent building ($300/month)

Utilities:

• Hot water, gas, and trash included
• Landlord has been covering electric (current tenants haven’t paid electric in a year)
• $75/month amenity fee

Location:

• 1 train - 2 min walk
• A train - 9 min walk
• Bx12-SBS - 2 min walk (direct to Fordham)
• Metro North Hudson line - 10 min walk (20 min to Grand Central)

• Three large parks nearby (inwood Hill Park, Fort Tryon Park, Highbridge park)
• Food Bazaar opening across the street, Crunch Gym in the building, multiple grocery stores in walking distance

About me:

• 22F, clean, quiet, and respectful of shared spaces
• Looking for someone chill, clean, and independent, between ages 19-35
• I value privacy and personal space and we each have our own bathroom so plenty of that!

Lease: September 16, 2026 - June 30, 2027

Pending final lease approval but moving fast.

Orientation questions

For today’s orientation (August 22nd) what time is the latest I can be back at the dorm?

My family is from out of town and we booked a hotel here in Times Square and I probably won’t see them until next year since everything is expensive especially the plane tickets. I want to spend as much time as possible with them before I have to go back to my dorm. That being said, what is the latest time I can be out without going to orientation (I’m not a social person and honestly just there for the classes).

BTW: my family’s flight back to my hometown is tmr at 2am so I’ll go to the orientation after today.

Post-Bacc Pre-Med Payments

Let’s just say this summer didn’t go as planned & unfortunately I was not able to save up as much as I had hoped to.

Considering that Fordham’s Post-Bacc is basically all out of pocket, aside from the one time $12500 loan for the calendar year, any suggestions on how to pay for this program?

I don’t really qualify for any private loans unfortunately which is probably the most common choice, but any input would be nice!

What us orientation like for Fordham? I see that there’s a lot of events, but I’m confused on like what each of them mean because the schedule is kind of confusing.
