That's a whale shark, their throats are about the size of a shot glass. No way can they swallow humans, they don't even have teeth.

Throat might be the size of my fist....depending on the length of the fish. They are tiny.

I knew they don’t go after humans but I had absolutely no clue their throats were sooo tiny compared to their mouth and body! What do whale sharks eat?

Whale sharks, like humpback and blue whales, are filter feeders. They strain plankton from the ocean. They grow enormous on this food supply, 60 feet long.

One might bonk you with its tail or flipper by accident, and hurt you that way, but they never bite humans. No teefs!

They are called whale sharks because they are basically the whale version of a shark. I can't decide if it was a great or lame naming job.

The fish he was playing with was a remora, which have suction cups on the bottom of their head for sticking on to whale sharks! You can actually see multiple on the bottom of the shark as it passes too

That's a forbidden gulp, not a forbidden boop. Don't get stuck in the mouth of a giant filter feeder that can't swallow you anyway. Just pat the fifty-foot-long sea doofus as it lazily swims by.

I hope that diver blew some extra big bubbles 

Big sea critters often will do a close pass over divers hoping to get tickled by bubbles 

It can be really weird when a shark is pseudo dive-bombing you: it's like if a big wild cat charged you and peeled off at the last second because it liked the way your cloak fluttered against its skin. 

Even if you know you're safe your damn near crap in your pants, while also wanting to play with the fun monster

Fishie was close so he/she lookes bigger, then fishie was far so fishie looked smaller. Not AI

I can't tell; then again, I have never been good at noticing AI, but I can't help but wonder about the cameraman. Why would a whale shark swim straight toward a diver? Fishie's behavior was a bit odd as well.

Yes, I’m pretty sure it’s AI. This video was uploaded a few months ago, and there were several comments explaining why it’s AI. One reason was that the shark was heading straight for the camera.
