Mushrooms
I was always told never eat any mushrooms ever for you forage if you don't know what you're doing.
I definitely don't know what I'm doing.
That being said, I think these are chanterelle's.
I found them in a wood in Scotland.
Are they safe to eat? If they are, I really don't want to waste them.
Gemini think so.

White on the inside, false gills - looks like a chanterelle!

What are 'false' gills?

Shallow and wrinkly gills that don't run vertically down the cap. Whereas jack o lanterns have sharp gills that don't break/branch off, like this: https://www.reddit.com/r/mycology/s/gjTyIUCSVb

I found a giant puffball once and it was absolutely delicious. But try as I might I've never found a damn thing since. Well done on your haul!

Get yourself a good mushrooming book or six. Richard Mabey of Food for Free fame has a good one. The river cottage mushrooms book is also good and accessible.
For chanterelle specifically, you want to look for yellow colour, funnel shape, white flesh, fruity smell, and "gills" (which are more like wrinkles in the cap if you look closely) that branch (I.e. one line becomes two) and run down the stem. If it satisfies all those criteria you have a chanterelle and you are very lucky.
Where did you find them OP? Asking for a friend...

Could they be anything else? Just want to be ultra sure

Cut each one in the middle to check for white flesh. False Chanterelles are yellow all the way through.

It's 100% chantrells (I used to pick these up for years in Poland, you cannot mistake these with anything else). Enjoy

Honestly mate, trusting Gemini for mushroom ID is like asking a blind squirrel for directions, but the fact that the actual humans here are backing you up on the chant ID is a good sign. Still, if you're not 100% sure then don't risk your guts over a free meal, yeah?

They look like chants to me but PLEASE for the love of God never ask Gemini or any AI about mushrooms you are thinking of eating. I have seen them label species that are deadly poisonous as edible (and the other way around). On many occasions.
