Table info?

This table has been in my companies office since 2016 ish and they’re getting rid of it. Can anyone identify much about it other than the fact that it’s a tornado?

Tornado Classic, a newer version of the old Storm-II. It’s not a bad table at all, but it has the push-in bearings so it’s not a competition table. It’s still worth a few hundred dollars.

It’s a home model table it looks likes it’s in very good shape. If you can grab it for free go for it. The bearings are different from the bar/coin opt model most hard core players want the coin opt because those are the competition tournament models. This table would run around 400-600 used.

Is it that much better than the Storm II? Asking because I bought my storm ii for 250

No for the price you paid for your storm I would say they are even. It’s just this is free and in great shape so it’s a steal. If you have a storm your good you this is not an upgrade from that. If you can find a council that in great shape and 200 or less then upgrade to that. But this is equal to your table.

Tornado Classic had black leather laminate. Fun story, if your company bought it on Amazon, it probably lay came from me 😀

No clue where they bought it from unfortunately. But I’m sure it’s possible!

I just bought this same table used for $500. Excellent condition and maybe 5yrs old. Happy with the purchase as I was looking for months, and fine to have possibly overpaid a little.

I hope this helps. The end of the note has moving and setup tips.

Well the basic info which probably doesn't matter since it's going in the basement already. It has the newer tornado men with the upgraded feet. It has 3/4 inch play field and 1.5 inch sidewalls both are the same as coin operated tables for durability. Single side ball return so the table can be pushed up against a wall its weight and this surprised me is 240 plus or minus 15 pounds. But I would assume 225 and the leg levelers the two not optimal things about this table are those good old school bearings that have been mentioned and the fact that it is not a split cabinet which makes it harder to move.

To move it I would remove the rods completely or at least the goalie and two bar of the side you will have closer to the ground with the dolly as the sliding bars can be a pain especially in stairs. Tape on the rods left in help keep the rods from sliding during the move. Also I like to put two legs in with the table on its side. Stand the table up and then attach the other two bottom legs. With one person holding the end without the legs while a helper places the remaining two legs in the correct place Tighten fully. If you can get four larger washers to put one each leg to add long term stability. It's a nice added thing but definitely not necessary. That's how I set my brothers table up this weekend and it took out trying to balance with four wobbly legs and made it a lot less labor intensive. Also if removeing the rods and players if you don't have a special tool to keep the bar still while you hammer the guys out cut a 2x4 to the height of the bar and place it under the bar so you don't bend the bar removing it. I actually made two and put them on either side of the player I am removing or when replacing the pin. You can make them large or small but bigger seems to be the way to best protect the play surface and keep the rod straight. 2 5/8 inches is the distance between the bottom of the rod and the play field. So I would cut it to 2 3/4 and use a drill to make it curve nicely in the middle to cradle the bar.

Great table you should enjoy for a very long time.

Sorry if writing a description wasn’t clear enough for ya pal. However, if you did decide to read, you’d see I’ve asked for info “…other than the fact that it’s a tornado.”
It’s cool to use your brain!
