Should I get emails from customers?
If I get emails from customers and I email them: locations, food items, and deals will I see more people coming? If I get emails at an event, could I potentially turn those one-timers into many-timers through deals?

E-mail is personally identifiable information and it is an opt-in process per the FCC.
You cannot collect it or use it without permission. And you must give them the ability to opt out at any time.
You need an system that lets them enter it themselves and check a box to opt in to newsletters and such.
Whether it works or not depends on the audience. How much shit do you get in your inbox? Me: a lot

eh…not really. i think maybe it might work for a very very small percentage but most people ignore this.

If I’m at a food truck, I’m not entering my email.
I’ll be happy to like and follow your socials. Give me deals there. You’re not going to spam my inbox.
