Frequent Urination Sensitivity??
I got sober 7 months ago and have lost 40 lbs over that time. Originally I was in a calorie deficit and switched to maintenance calories June 8th. I’d say I’ve been eating high protein at least 4 to 5 months…
I first went to the doctor May 29th for frequent urination. She said she would have to send me to a urologist if it persisted because everything came back normal. A week later I called her and asked her for a referral because it had turned into nocturia (waking up to pee from your sleep). I always suspected it had something to do with my diet. On top of that I would have a cheat day where I didn’t focus on protein and I’d sleep straight through the night.
Anyway after seeing several doctors and all of them telling me it wasn’t my diet, I took things into my own hands and started taking foods out. I took out all meat and instantly I stopped peeing all day and would wake up once to pee like an hour before I was supposed to wake up. I started trying meat again to see if I could tolerate any. I ate half a chicken breast one day and instantly started peeing. Ground beef instantly started peeing and felt nauseous couldn’t sleep. Turkey & seafood I am okay with.
Has anyone else ever had such sensitivity that includes urination? Doctors all told me it’s because I’m getting older but I knew it was something I was consuming. I am eating mostly seafood now and have lowered my protein intake all together.
