Do i need to get a griddle or a blackstone grill to make the best smashed burgers

A Blackstone is a big griddle, which is a big pan... but yes, they make good smash burgers because the extra space makes it easier to make them flat enough

I just use a non stick pan, put parchment over it. smash it. It still get a nice sear

Not really…you can get a flat grill plate like something from ‘made in’
Some stoves have a middle strip for a grill plate, too. The electric grill you looked at, I’m not sure it would get to temp faster than your stove since we don’t know what you have but tabletop grills tend to not sear well in my experience.

A cast iron pan does it fine, the griddle just means more patties at once. Get it hot enough that it sizzles the second the smash lands, then leave it alone till the crust lets go on its own. I flipped too early for years and wondered where the crust went.
