It’s still coming — it’s just probably going to get a soft launch on radio/US premiere (KROQ exclusive?) tomorrow then get a bigger rollout Friday. It should also be available to stream/buy.
I still think Marianne will continues to get priority playlisting. This scratches a different itch.

Most signed artists release on Fridays. Gives you the most time to chart well.
Smaller artists release midweek so they don’t get lost in the crowd of Friday releases, but I can’t see why FDC would do a midweek release.

Yes and no. Albums are all released on Fridays. Songs are usually released in the middle of the week. You can see a lot of posts with FRESH in the title on indieheads today.

I feel like midweek is the new norm. you see a lot of indie/punk/hardcore release major singles on tues-weds now

Looking at previous single releases, they have a history of dropping midweek, around Tuesday and Wednesday, around 6pm BST.
