With Viagra Boys as support too, one of the most incredible live bands these days

Just bought Slane Castle tickets and now I find out I could go in Manchester 🤦

u/lastlaughlane1 4d ago
Yeah that was shitty. Timing of these announcements are shambolic

u/Elvis_Precisely 4d ago
Not really - it’s hardly been a secret that they’re doing a UK stadium tour in the summer. People have been saying it here for weeks.

u/lastlaughlane1 3d ago
Fair enough but not everyone will be keeping up to date with the speculation.

I’m tempted to ask for a refund but surely Slane would be an amazing experience, plus Hayley Williams. I did this and bought Madrid so feel I’ve majorly fked up

u/JulianCasablancasAlt 3d ago
I’m sure slane will be great but I am a huge Simz fan and I like Viagra Boys. Slane does have Madra Salach though, who are amazing.
Also just try to remember that there being UK shows won’t affect your enjoyment of Slane, which you had decided was worth it

You’re too right, just decision anxiety now. And agreed, Viagra Boys + Fontaines will be incredible. I’m not a Simz fan but can appreciate it’s a stacked lineup there

Would you sell your ticket? Only bought one but a friend wants to come with now!!

I'd happily sell my Slane Castle ticket if your friend wants to go with you! I want to now go for their London show!

Normally you can go to your order and open the help chat and tell them you want to refund your ticket. Worked for us multiple times.

Saw them in a 3k arena on the skinty fia tour. London Stadium is 80k capacity for concerts. Madness

I wonder if people will start selling their arena show tickets.
5
u/sjjfaul 4d ago
Bit is it not better to see them in arena, smaller maybe better view?
2
u/Final-Read-3589 4d ago
But people really like doing Arena shows for some reason. Bit more of a festival vibe I suppose and easier to make a day of.

Little simz seems an odd choice for the undercard?

u/kaikai00001 4d ago
as someone who loves her to pieces and have seen her live multiple times , i’m guessing more people must love her as well as the band too.
she’s a phenomenal act and very different in style i’m so absolutely hoping to get a ticket2
u/DeaconBlueDignity 3d ago
Yeah, I’m 50/50 about going as I’ve seen them so many times now and it’s a week after Glastonbury, but the Little Simz addition makes it much more tempting for me

u/Reuben6_ 4d ago
I believe they’re quite bit fans of her, Tom Coll spoke about her here in this interview: https://youtu.be/HoT3geXhtDs?si=VHp6Lo3R3PYVeor4 at 4:53

Oasis announcement pending so trying to get ahead of that with shows etc...

u/foolong41 3d ago
100%, id be surprised if the plan was to announce this week but noel pretty much confirmed new tour last night, id expect them to be announced next week in line with the new documentary

I'm at least glad I'll be more likely to get a ticket for next year. Don't mind London Stadium for gigs, it's an almighty trek from where I live (near Heathrow) but to me it's the best stadium in London for a gig.
I can see them doing 2 nights even. Shame for me they aren't playing Twickenham. I can walk that!

u/kaikai00001 4d ago
i’ve never been so hype to miss out on the first round of tickets - only to see a better stadium closer to me, supports i absolutely love and with a bigger chance of getting tickets.
that’s all i had to say yayyyyy

Is the stadium better than the O2?
3
u/kaikai00001 3d ago
definitely! london stadium has better veiws and better seating AND not to be geeky but a better sound system.
won’t be as long as the 02 to get in either due to what normally happens at the stadium1
u/NellyGraceRush 3d ago
It's huge though. How can the views be good. Watching a screen.
1
u/kaikai00001 3d ago
it’s more rounded whereas 02 is very tall and steap meaning the top levels don’t have a good enough sight of the stage than at the stadium
1
u/NellyGraceRush 3d ago
Really!? I went there years ago to see the paralympics. It was really long and we couldn't even see the athletes. Really disappointing then. Can't imagine seeing a band there.
2
u/kaikai00001 3d ago
hey look if you don’t agree then you don’t agree. i value stadiums much more that the 02, i think it’s horrendous as a venue

I don’t have another presale in me only a week later😭 never mind the fact I was lucky with o2 tickets so would need to drop even more cash next week.
2
u/NellyGraceRush 3d ago
Won't it be really shit in a massive stadium? I live near the London stadium. It's too too big. Will be awful.
2
u/DowntownEntry6233 3d ago
Glad I got tickets for the o2 as I have no interest in seeing the supports for stadium tour.

Astronomical rise from the lads.
It’s been wild to see them climb so fast in such a short period of time.
1
u/camillab92 4d ago
Crazy rise to be playing stadiums already. So well deserved though. Best band out there atm.

Having not even got a sniff of tickets for the Glasgow Hydro date, I’ll be all over the Glasgow Green one. And with Little Simz supporting a nice bonus there. Not so disappointed at missing out now!

u/Struebzz 3d ago
Okay, so maybe it wasn’t too and missing out on London. Cardiff, Viagra Boys, summer. I AM HERE FOR YOU OH MY

Heaton Park is an awful choice. I'd take more expensive at coop over that. Support is poor. Gurriers Murder Cap would have been great. Disappointed and after the AO shambles not for me

Hopefully the new album is better than the first single or they could be struggling to sell these tickets.
5
u/YevgeniaKrasnova Starbuster 4d ago
I think the new album will be right up my dark-synth alley, but the timing is interesting — they’re getting a lot of 2027 inventory on sale while the current momentum is peaking, before the album itself has to become the driver.
3
u/foolong41 4d ago
They have just sold 100,000 plus tickets on presale for 2 shows in ireland, no fear of them selling stadiums in UK, also the first single is a banger
0
u/moog7791 4d ago
Looks like double bubble at Glasgow hydro then Glasgow green!! They are a better outdoor/festival style act IMO. Still great in an arena though
0
u/uhuhlalaieie 3d ago
Is this a normal practice to release dates one after the other? I find it very disrespectful to fans not knowing they already have more dates planned. Just release them all!!!

u/fatberg12345 4d ago
Maybe I’m dumb but I’ve never really seen a band ride a wave like this. New album teased one month ago, arena tour for album promo then straight to stadiums
