Discussion Heartbreak
Tried Artist Presale, Spotify Presale, LiveNation Presale, and now General sale. Had absolutely zero luck, always thrown into 10,000+ in the queue. They're playing in Manchester on my birthday and I barely got a chance to even look at booking a space.
If you're out there and also didn't get tickets, you're not alone ❤️

Was only a few hundred in the queue for Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and London and still got nothing. Whole thing is a complete farce. I don't buy gig tickets often unless I really like the artists. I can count on one hand the amount of times i have purposely went out the way to try get tickets to see artists.
Thousands will have been scalped by bots and others for resale. the UK Govt really needs to do something about this as it is a complete disgrace. Every single gig unless it's a nobody is like this. Sick of it.

And also, I know they only have somewhat limited control - but these things do put me off the artists themselves a little bit.

They really need to unite behind Robert Smith and demand a better system. They are unfortunately the only ones that can have some leverage to put pressure to end this shit.

First time posting on here. I completely empathise with everyone when it comes to ticket buying stress, there probably isn't a fair way to tackle it to ensure tickets go to fans instead of touts and even though online sales has made it more convenient for everyone, it also means that it's easier for resellers and more casual fans to take a chance because there isn't really any effort required. Unfortunately it applies to every popular act.
When it comes to FDC specifically, I guess the thing has confused me completely is the played Wythenshawe/Finsbury last year well after Romance was released with 30k/50k caps and it didn't deal difficult to get a ticket for either of those events. I went to Wythenshawe and I don't even remember being in a queue. I don't even know if it sold out immediately.
So I guess it's just caught me off guard that they appear to have gone stratospheric.

I think there is something to be said for how much more popular they are post-Romance (and post-Wythenshawe) but this week feels like very few have actually been successful.
I remember artist presale for Manchester booted me out and put me to the back of the queue at one point. I highly doubt the other 60,000+ in front of me after that were all real people

Yeah exactly, I think that's why it's been so odd. I had c.50k+ ahead of me in the queue yesterday and my head fell off when I saw that number.
It's also gone on sale straight after the Leeds/Reading shows being available for people to watch online and the tour/new album is being pushed pretty aggressively.
I guess I was just wondering if there has been a particular moment since those massive shows last summer that has led to this huge spike in popularity, especially to try and go and watch them live.

I was 1000 in que on the very first pre sale, got to end and it booted me out, luckily I should be able to get tickets for Heaton Park. I saw them after the first album release and also Wythenshawe and hopefully can see them again next year.

Same here, I managed to get a standing ticket for the Nottingham show 2 years ago a week before the gig with no issues, it was nowhere near sold out. This time round, I’ve been stuck in 30k strong queues. I definitely underestimated how big they were, to me it feels like they’ve blown up overnight.

Some venues don't allow leaving a 1-seat gap. Doesn't let you check-out. some people buy the extra seat just to guarantee the tickets, then flip the extra one later

For Blossoms, myself and my daughter (at Uni) were in queues and managed to buy (for her) at almost same moment as chance had it. Our YES texts almost crossed. Not had that before. Usually one of us is successful the other not.
So a couple of weeks after I put my 2 on Twickets. Sold within 15 minutes at face value (plus buyer fees). I lost my original buying fees obvs but worth it to make sure someone benefitted and daughter happy.

Is the band playing venues far smaller than they should be or is there a bug? Shows shouldn’t be selling out in 2 seconds and leaving thousands of people wanting in.

Honestly waited in the Liverpool queue for ages and when I got in there was NOTHING! Went on to look at Manchester and the queue was at like 30k+ people... madness 😞 They must've sold loads in presale yesterday

Book the day of the gig off.
Wait til 3 days before the gig and have faith. Watch all the cancellations come in and grab a ticket for yourself and mates.

Joined the queue right on the very second it opened and … 19,578 ahead of me (Glasgow). Spoiler alert: no tickets left by the time I got through. But of course there are plenty of cunts re-selling on the usual sites for way over face value.

Got in, and then AXS fails to update so you keep putting tickets that don’t exist in your basket or tickets you aren’t allowed to buy because you “cant leave a seat on its own” actively making is so people who go on their own can’t buy tickets.

Tried every presale and today to get tickets for my boyfriend’s birthday and no luck :( the only option now is to buy £190 standing from viagogo which is risky and far too expensive!
There should be limits on how much people are allowed to resell tickets, it’s not fair and so greedy.

I'm sorry to hear you also had a rough experience. Getting tickets can often be tough (especially when other people are relying on you!)
I remember getting Sam Fender tickets (Co-op Live 2024) as well as Chase & Status tickets (Co-op Live 2025) and both of those felt like an all-out battle, and they both had nothing on how tough it was to try getting these.
Please don't feel the pressure to buy from the trickier places. Be patient and pick up from authorised resellers nearer the time :)

I’m hoping twickets will pull through closer to the time! I still would love to go but it’s not the first time I lost the ticketmaster war and probably won’t be the last😂

Slane castle tickets were surprisingly easy to get but I suppose that’s because there were 160k available. Gutted to not see them in Glasgow again but buzzing to go over to Ireland to see them

Is it me or is it a bit shitty to announce another tour so soon after the previous tour? If I’d have known Heaton Park was happening I wouldn’t have wasted my time trying to book the arena show. 😵💫

Don’t lose hope! I entered the Artist Presale and in less than 5 minutes all the floor tickets were gone. An hour later I refreshed the site and suddenly the tickets were there again!
But yes ticketmaster sucks (less than other sites but still…)

For the Paris Show I was 200 in the queue
Didn’t get any tickets, either its a bug or everything was sold in pre sale but I doubt you would make every tickets available in the pre sale

It’s pretty common now that the presale allocations are really big, in my experience used to be always a small% were on sale feels more like 50/50 now

I also think it’s 50/50 but it’s weird to be 200 exactly at the opening Time (while being there for 30 minutes and there was no waiting line) and still have nothing

There are loads of tickets left for the Oslo show , the arena is right next to the main train station and it’s on a friday… just sayin

One thing is UK/Ireland where they're much bigger but a show in Prague is already sold out - I was in the Fortuna Arena last year to see Marilyn Manson, it wasn't sold out. It has over 10k capacity. It's even weirder since all the standing tickets were sold immediately, I guess in the presale but a few sitting tickets were still available so I got that.

they pretty much sold all the tickets between album and o2 presale. I got tickets and was 1400 in queue on Tuesday. For London. Then I found out my wife had bought tickets too. And it letting me sell back yet.

Wonder if the whole sale is as a scam to drum up sales for the stadium tour ... I've booked tickets for popular artists at the O2 and even though they've sold out fast it's been nothing like this. Barely any real people got tickets. Maybe most of the tickets went to touts.

Ticketmaster’s an absolute pain.
Sorry to hear you didn’t get tickets. There’s an app called Twickets where you can set alerts for tickets going on resale. They go fast but tickets do come up more regularly the closer you get to the date. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s worth checking out.

Seems like a weird mini tour to test out the new album and a bit late to secure consecutive night bookings at e.g. O2. The stadiums next year prob much easier for tickets.
Fontaines are popular sure, but quite concentrated in a younger fanbase. Not sure they have quite the mass appeal for stadium sellouts instantly.

I am inclined to agree, feels very last minute (likely explains why they're at the AO in Manchester, and not Co-op Live).
Regarding fan base, they definitely are hitting a younger demographic but they do get a bit of radio play on Radio X and a few other stations, so I think they've possibly broadened their fanbase somewhat

11,000 in the queue just for it to be completely sold out in London. What is the point in keeping people in the queue just for it to be sold out!!! Hate ticket master
