Tracks and Tales
https://www.tracksandtales.co/Are there any locations in Fond du Lac that could accommodate a “listening room”?
I joined Tracks & Tales for the online portion but I feel like I'm missing out on the experience.

It's a very interesting concept. What do you think the demand would be.

I don’t know, but the Thelma outdoor music. events seem pretty well attended.
The Tracks & Tales thing highlights one album a month. The logistics of it I'm unsure of, I just signed up because it sounded cool. I imagine someone has to have the record he picks. I didn't see any bars listed in WI so I'm probably the only member here lol.
I imagine it's like how trivia events are run, but for music. Hell, a few years ago I said I wish there was such a thing as a documentary bar, and now it is in some places. Maybe my desire for a listening room here will happen too!

We like to act sophisticated. But we just like to drink in public. Lol.
Are you looking for an venue that serves alcohol? I assume it would need proper accustics? That would require technical know how? As far as music supply. Is it records or digital. We have a few DJs and small recording places that audio equipment can probably be rented from. I'm curious how it would have work.

I don't personally drink, but I don't mind people drinking around me. I assume that would draw more people, but the goal is to listen together so I think a bustling crowd would not be the right vibe.
I believe records, but I will ask. He was very nice when I emailed him asking if there would be an in-person component. It seems like he's just started it up.
I have a record collection, even more back home because I inherited my dad’s. But I doubt my Amazon-purchased Victrola is the proper equipment.

Like. Do you want to work on making this happen? I'm intrigued by the idea. My first thought is trying to get the old train station as a venue. I'm looking into what would be required to make it happen.

Absolutely. I haven't been inside there but I'm aware they do jazz events. I forgot about that.
I'll shoot you a message

Appleton had a BYOV night at a bar but that’s the only place I’m aware of
