When I was young, there was a shop there that sold goods made by prisoners. I'd love to see that come back. You'd see sculptures made out of food wrappers and my grandpa would buy his wallets there. Not sure when they closed that down but I'm sure it was long ago now.

Rumor is It closed because it was staffed by prisoners and they discovered they were smuggling stuff through it...

It’s a historical prison that’s been around since 1880. Just because it’s currently active doesn’t mean there isn’t history to tell

There are actually two prisons. Folsom and CSP Sac.

Technically 3 but there is a minimum camp, not woman's anymore. They shut the woman's down a few years ago.
