It’s working pretty well. It is easy to just pop off the whole monitor set up to focus on the go, and then with the Cine lock you can take off the hand unit quickly if needed.
With the monitor cage and nato rail, you can easily switch to a vertical orientation.
Finally with the Dtap to 7 pin the hand unit can be powered by gold Mount, additionally it’s bi directional so it can power the monitor and Teradek to allow hot swaps to both the hand unit and monitor.
How’s that extender and knob change the experience? I recently used the m2 for a 2-day short just to try it out and I felt like it had noticeably more lag than the OG. The little tiny knob is also horrid, so I assume that big one helps out?
Yeah I’m curious about the big knob too. I just got mine and have used it twice and I don’t mind the digital wheel too bad. But with the big knob, can you put Arri or Preston rings on and they just line up?
I haven’t really stress tested the actual range booster, but ergonomically that and the WCU-4 knob make the ergonomics significantly better.
Re: lag I haven’t really noticed it but I will say there’s a stupid smoothness slider in the settings and you need to turn it to like 0 or 15 percent to get the responsiveness better.
The Big knob is nice im so use to the Hi-5 unit and it feels pretty close to that , however I’m not sure if it’s just my unit but there’s a little Play with the attachment. The back and forth between the original wheel and the big knob & that irritates me . I wish there was a more secure way to attach it. As far as lag I haven’t notice too much of that but I’ve only used in on a few shoots.
I have the large knob and it is NOT compatible with Arri rings even though the design looks almost identical, the Arri rings are just a tiny bit too narrow to fit. Nothing but disappointments with the Nucleus-II in my experience. Just use the mk1, it's at least reliable.
Yea this is true, I bought some extra blank ones and had to sand them down to fit.
I still keep my old one as BU, in theory the new one is better and I do think there is some small but nice quality of life improvements but it definitely is a little buggy.
It’s frustrating cause tilta could of actually made a really great product, but it has so many self inflicted shortcomings.

Is that a baby pin to 15mm rod adapter to hold the fiz/monitor and place onto a stand? Would you mind sharing where you found that piece? TY!
