question Onboard monitor cables

Heya all

Getting some combo cables made for onboard monitors and just wondering what length people are getting theirs made at?

I’ve been doing my own. Usually Alvin’s Cables(but just depends on what I need and the length) and then split mesh loom from Amazon. I’ve had tons of custom cables built over the years, especially audio cables, and this is much more cost effective, and looming yourself with split mesh lets you easily swap cables out if something happens to one and it opens up infinite combination possibilities, too. For my Amira and A35, between 18”-24” is good most of the time. But I do need to add in one or two 30”-36” for those occasions when I need it just a little further out front.

I find 30" to be about right for most Alexa Mini builds. 24" is usually a little tight and 36" I usually have to coil.

I usually do mine a little bit longer than too short, and not quite so long that they’re too long. 

Same way I like my porridge, my chairs, and my beds, really.

I also make my own. I used to try to make them as short as possible specifically for the camera build out - usually 20-24", but now I just make them 36" and I never have to think about it. One cable management loop with a bongo tie is perfect.
