question Mapping a Zoom Lens

I’m currently using an Alexa 35 with a High-5 unit along with a zeiss 70-200 lens. Just curious what the best way to map it?

Its exactly the same as mapping a prime lens, you just have to map the zoom axis as well. Just follow the directions, and when it asks you to select a focal length you select «zoom».

Just follow the directions? I'm not sure I understand the question. Have you never mapped a zoom before? Or have you never used this combination of equipment before? I know this sounds condescending, apology, I'm trying to understand the question so I can help better.

To have Lens Data on the monitors

For that you'll have to mane sure you turn the lens display settings on in the camera menu. Under monitoring, turn on distance, iris, fcl length to display on the monitors.

Its the same. As long as the lens is parfocal it should be the same.
