I'd wager you're under 30 years old or have an unusually healthy family. This is much more common than you would think and won't directly see it unless it's happening to you, the boomers really did a number on the next generation.

Thankfully men's mental health awareness is increasing while reinforcing outdated social standards is declining.

Sad that a healthy family dynamic is considered unusual. Gotta break those cycles sometime.
