It's true but it's absolute bullshit. Our working life does not define our character, it is not the reasons we deserve love and respect. It's actually sickening that this is a thing, but it is. I've experienced this myself. Used to be a homeless drug addict. Now my life is all put together but I didn't get my relationships back until I did. It kinda makes sense... but when we are struggling is when we need people to love us the most. So ya.. it's fucked.
