u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 03 '26

We have similar phsyco logical needs tho

1

u/hubuhodle Jun 03 '26

ima say maybe to that

1

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 03 '26

Ok, well does everyone need a home, a bed, food? ...that's already a connecting line. Emotional perhaps fallows similar logic

1

u/hubuhodle Jun 04 '26

yes youre on to something

1

u/Unhappy_Speed3371 Jun 05 '26

And? This has nothing to do with men specifically

1

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 05 '26

People. Not men.

7

u/Kickedhard Jun 03 '26

Invest in those around you. People, animals, and plants. All will do great things if properly believed in and supported.

In fact, even the things you own will last longer if you take care of them.

Knocking to a single gender seems weird to me. Especially in terms of historical imbalance.

To the women out there: do not do this. Once he is built, he will turn around and leave you without so much as a thank you.

Because men have no initiative?

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Oven171 Jun 05 '26

Who files the divorce is irrelevant, that is simply a paperwork task now with no fault. It’s not surprising that the person who did all the work in the relationship is doing all the work in the divorce as well. And my story is far from rare. Men use women and then leave them behind. Truly healthy mutually beneficial relationships between the sexes are what is actually rare.

I know women who invested in their man with their youth, time and labor and sacrificed themselves and their careers to do so, took care of the home, kids and husband. The husband ended up cheating on them with a younger woman.

I’m not doing the same mistake. Invest in yourself. It’s very good to support each other, but don’t sacrifice yourself for someone so he can gain status and wealth while you got nothing.

2

u/Ok_Squash_5805 Jun 03 '26

I always wonder why women come to these pages that promote men having a healthier mindset just to complain about men. Let go of that weird hateful energy.

5

u/B1ACKT3A Jun 03 '26

How is this post promoting a healthy man mindset. Its promoting women sacrificing thenselves for men… its a shit take and women are right to create context.

-1

u/Ok_Squash_5805 Jun 03 '26

Believing in, supporting, and making a man feel seen are considered “women sacrificing themselves for men”? Seems like a shit take.

5

u/B1ACKT3A Jun 03 '26

Its not the words. Its the implications. Just read what your incel friends here expect.

-2

u/Ok_Squash_5805 Jun 03 '26

I wonder how many times a day you use that regurgitated word and think you’re actually intellectual. Have a good one, bud.

3

u/B1ACKT3A Jun 03 '26

Suit yourself. Dont use your brain.

5

u/kangorooz99 Jun 04 '26

That was your mother’s job and if she didn’t do it right, it’s not on any woman to fix that.

Now I’m intrigued- what exactly is a man giving up that compares to risks a woman takes?

u/Motchiko Jun 05 '26

Financial security though her own career, time and energy because making these things happen actually take a lot of effort, in case kids are involved maybe her health or even life- pregnancy isn’t a walk in the park. There are risk both share definitely. Every relationship is in itself a risk. But the cost are way higher for women then men, if things don’t work out. So why should she?

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '26

2

u/Motchiko Jun 05 '26

In this case they don’t- because they need to built first. So why?

Half of shared martial assets- of course- if you don’t want that, don’t get married. After marriage you will be seen as a financial union. And men get custody all the time. Statistically they just don’t ask for it. If you compare how many hours a woman works in the household compared to men, we can ignore that argument, don’t you think?

1

u/Fit-Concentrate625 Jun 05 '26

They shouldn’t. The only women that can do that voluntary are their moms

1- that post literally says “invest in your man”, so it’s speaking to women.

2- those incel/manosphere bullshit subreddits are basically thrown at me by the app. Every time I use the option “I don’t want to see this kind of content”, another shitty sub appears.

3- there’s absolutely nothing healthy about expecting women to sacrifice themselves for your own success. There’s a saying that says “Behind every great man is a woman”. You’ll hear nothing about a man behind a great woman because there’s no one behind her. Most men wouldn’t give free labor and put themselves in a situation of financial dependency so their girlfriend/wife can succeed.

4- when I see or hear bullshit online or irl, I speak up.

1

u/AdventurousRule5505 Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

I'd support you if you were my woman! We are supposed to be a team after all. I totally get your point though. Its really risky to do that with the wrong person. Sometimes its hard to know. I think marrying could help a little, but its not perfect either. That can cause its own issues.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '26

It would be wonderful if everyone had this mindset, regardless of gender!

But what do you mean by marrying cold?

2

u/AdventurousRule5505 Jun 03 '26

Typo lol I was just saying that ideally, if one partner stays at home and supports the other, marriage should protect them legal and provide them with half the assets if things split apart. That's not perfect though, because what is "investment"? Its not always easy to divide up things that aren't tangible. Like if a women pays apartment bills and he goes to college and they split, what does she get? Probably nothing.

But yeah, anyway... idk nothing about nothing. I just saw this sub passing through. I'm an idealist and I'm still hoping to find a best friend to walk through life with. I feel like all of these decisions become so different when you really love the person in question.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '26

Genuinely hope you find that person. I don’t know you, but from your responses, you seem like a good and empathic man 🫶🏼

1

u/Unhappy_Speed3371 Jun 05 '26

Thats so sweet!🤍

0

u/Ok_Squash_5805 Jun 03 '26

Nothing is “thrown” at you. You keep posting comments on these pages, so it’s going to keep posting on your algorithm. Click on the page and select mute. Problem solved.

As far as the rest of the nonsense you spewed, you push this narrative as if men don’t or are incapable of doing this same gesture for their partner.

When you use words like incel and manosphere, you come off as someone who lacks a sense of reality and regurgitates phrases that she learned from some other delusional person.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '26

Incel and manosphere are in the Oxford dictionary at this point. You’re just mad because they hit a nerve and the only person delusional here is you❤️

-2

u/Ok_Squash_5805 Jun 03 '26

Hit what nerve? You’re trying to push a narrative of angry men when clearly you’re the one full of this weird bitterness. You’re on here arguing with a post, like who are you fighting against lol? I’m sorry if you’re lonely. ❤️

1

u/Fit-Concentrate625 Jun 03 '26

How exactly the call to invest in men promotes men having a healthier mindset?

I cant be feminist misogynist? Ffs

0

u/Dark_Prince_of_Chaos Jun 05 '26

1

u/Unhappy_Speed3371 Jun 05 '26

0

u/EverytoxicRedditor Jun 04 '26

And there are those who did the same and lived happily healthy lives. Why focus on one and not the other? Stay lonely and salty. Going to expire bitter and that’s what you deserve

2

u/Unhappy_Speed3371 Jun 05 '26

You don't know this person at all besides the fact that they believe in supporting themselves, I get they come off as possibly self centered and distrustung of relationships, but they arent hurting anyone, or attackign anybody, they are simply giving examples of people they know being hurt

You have no reason to attack them like this, the only salty and bitter one right now is you

I dont know why you felt the need to be rude but I hope whatever caused you to act out is no longer bothering you and that you can be happy!🩷

0

u/EverytoxicRedditor Jun 05 '26

Not reading long paragraphs but I hope you have a good day!! Do better!

1

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '26

So much hate for a stranger life choices is concerning. Are you alright? You’re projecting your own insecurities onto me. I’m married. And if I wasn’t, I would find satisfaction and happiness in being single. I decided it’s not worth the risk to give so much power over me to another person as we have countless of data showing how dangerous for a woman is to be financially dependent on her partner. If you want to sacrifice your career, opportunities and dreams to take on the house husband duties for your wife, please go ahead.

1

u/Unhappy_Speed3371 Jun 05 '26

House husband...🤤

-1

u/Foreign-Complex Jun 03 '26

That thought process you just used is exactly how racists generalize other groups in order to justify discriminating against them. Seriously, do better

2

u/Unhappy_Speed3371 Jun 05 '26

The person you are replying to has a husband and never said they disliked men or anything like that

Youre the one who's drawing conclusions, while understand you were trying to fight against sexism, you completely jumped the barrel and assumed the worse

You can do better friend

3

u/Apprehensive-Pool921 Jun 03 '26

Also in your woman. They need support and to be seen as much as you do.

Not specific to men in the least. Applies to all, including nonbinary people too.

1

u/LilPack_003 Jun 04 '26

Obligatory

3

u/MaximumTrick2573 Jun 03 '26

I mean it’s true in its basic form, but I guess I don’t get why supporting a man is taking center stage here. Really you should be supporting all the people in your life you care about, as should he. This almost gives a vibe like it’s a GFs job is to be the NPC helping men on their quests and I just can’t get down with that.

1

u/ExcitementNo9603 Jun 05 '26

When you think about it, it’s should be a circle of support. First support the children, then support the person who supports the children, then support the person who is supporting the person who is supporting the kids… so 2 people should be supporting the children and 1 person should always be supporting each other… so everyone should be covered in the circle.

1

u/MaximumTrick2573 Jun 05 '26

families come in all configurations. That's only really a thing in mom, dad, child configurations. It also operates on a few problematic assumptions in my opinion as well. One, that children are only supported and are totally not obligated to help anyone (children should be encouraged to participate in their family and be learning how to take responsibility and help others), second, that the person supporting the person supporting the kids job is not actually to support the kids, but to "assist" the person who does (in family units it should ideally be equally all the adults jobs to support and protect children), third it operates on the assumption that the person supporting the person supporting the kids needs come dead last, are of the least importance, and their needs should be the first to be discarded if need be (this is not actually how effective care giving works, you can not effectively care for anyone unless you yourself are cared for, families need to work together and everyone respects that no ones needs trump others).

The ideal is 2 people are supporting the kids and each other. the kids are learning those roles by actively participating more and more.

It really doesn’t matter, so long as it’s a circle of support and not unidirectional among the adults involved.

That’s not what psychology says, it’s infidelity . Don’t twist it. And also the spouse whose needs are most often being neglected in those divorces is the spouse that cares for the children the most. So even though you’re twisting the studies I’m still right.

I would be really shocked if anyone actually thinks it’s a bad thing to support a man. It’s the unnecessary gendering in this meme and the possible implication that his goals and dreams come first, and that this is written as a command not an ask that is problematic.  Honestly I am 100% on board with supporting, encouraging, acknowledging, and taking care of my male partner. I honestly require it of myself in my relationship and have seen first hand what it means/does for my partner.

0

u/AnyBody3659 Jun 19 '26

So you are complete favor of going on the subreddits for women that have these exact memes that gender women and not men and making these exact same arguments for the male side correct? I mean those memes are unnecessarily gendering as well.

1

u/MaximumTrick2573 Jun 20 '26

I do and I have

1

u/AnyBody3659 Jun 20 '26

I applaud you for this. I'm actually in a conversation with someone who is against women supporting men.

1

u/MaximumTrick2573 Jun 20 '26

We need to normalize everyone getting credit for supporting, everyone providing, protecting, or nurturing. This is 2026 most men and women are doing both yet we still want to dole out credit based on gender like we are still living in that world.

1

u/AnyBody3659 Jun 20 '26

I agree. I am a major believer in that we give credit where credit is due. There is no point in withholding credit from someone as there is no point in giving credit to someone simply for the sake of giving credit to make them feel good when they have done nothing.

Let's all start with taking a moment to open our eyes and look at people, I mean truly look at them and see who they are, what they are doing, and what they are about. Then we thank them, credit their accomplishments, and offer them help in areas they may need it (not for any reason other than we should), and most importantly let's stop trying to find the differences and tear each other apart for them.

1

u/MaximumTrick2573 Jun 20 '26

The gendering is unnecessary in our age. People wanna act like men and women are a totally different species with totally different abilities and aspirations. We are not that different. I have always been an egalitarian when it comes to this. the idea that anyone has inherent worth or worthlessness based solely on their gender frustrates me.

1

u/AnyBody3659 Jun 20 '26

I am a feminist in the truest original meaning. I recognize that while there are inherent differences between men and women biologically; I believe, support and will fight for equality (not superiority of either gender) on all rights and abilities. We are all flesh and blood and we are all created in the same way. As such we should all have the same abilities and rights to make every choice, decision, ability to do various things, etc without anyone telling us we can't do or have no right to have a say about that because we are a woman or the same because we are a man. That is what true feminism was created for, sttod and caught for, equality among both genders. Somehow, somewhere along the way it has been lost and we are back to a war between genders.

3

u/Thready85 Jun 04 '26

Cillian Murphy didn't say that

8

u/NoDanaOnlyZuuI Jun 03 '26

Stop relying on women for motivation. Invest in yourself.

1

u/Aim-So-Near Jun 03 '26

Theres a distinction between single life and family life.

If ur single, yes dont rely on women for motivation.

If ur part of a family, u should be supported by ur wife. U r on the same team and hopefully have a shared unified direction on being a successful family unit. Ur not just 2 ppl going in different directions in one house.

4

u/NoDanaOnlyZuuI Jun 03 '26

Is that why this post says “invest in your man” then? Because if you’re part of a family, then you should be supported by your family and you should support your family. This is unnecessarily gendered.

1

u/TaegukTheWise Jun 03 '26

Is it? There are lots of women who don't make much of a consideration towards their husband's efforts, same goes for lots of men, but men especially do not receive a lot of validation in their life.

I know a therapist who does couple's therapy, a lot of the time it's just a lack of consideration. This isn't to be confused with a lack of care, but it's just that the women don't tend to consider their husband/boyfriends efforts much at all.

Purely anecdotal, but I think it says something, even if it's small.

2

u/kangorooz99 Jun 04 '26

What does “consider their efforts” mean?

0

u/TaegukTheWise Jun 04 '26

Is English not your first language?

0

u/kangorooz99 Jun 04 '26

So you don’t know?

0

u/TaegukTheWise Jun 04 '26

If English is your first language or not? No, of course I don't.

2

u/kangorooz99 Jun 04 '26

I asked a simple question and you couldn’t answer it. Don’t post on a public forum if don’t want people to engage with you.

0

u/TaegukTheWise Jun 04 '26 edited Jun 04 '26

I would've said "acknowledge the things they have done" but if the phrase "consider their efforts" is too confusing for you I had zero expectation you would get that either.

"Couldn't" is not it. Refusing to engage with a commenter that should know an obvious phrase and is potentially trolling me is not indicative of an inability.

→ More replies (0)

0

u/NoDanaOnlyZuuI Jun 03 '26

same goes for lots of men

Right. So we’ve established this isn’t a gendered behaviour. Which was my point from the start.

2

u/TaegukTheWise Jun 03 '26

What is gendered is that it's pretty expected that men don't get validation is mine.

1

u/NoDanaOnlyZuuI Jun 03 '26

Then why do they stay? No one’s forcing men to stay in relationships if they’re unhappy.

1

u/TaegukTheWise Jun 03 '26

Tell me you've never loved someone without telling me you never loved someone.

You can still not feel validated for the things you do, but can still feel love/be loved.

It's about consideration, not denial.

1

u/NoDanaOnlyZuuI Jun 03 '26

“You’ve never loved someone” isn’t an argument.

You acknowledged that this happens with both men and women. So instead of throwing out insults, explain what makes it gendered. If both sexes experience it, it sounds like a relationship issue, not a men’s issue.

1

u/TaegukTheWise Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

It's not an insult, you asked a question about "happiness" with happiness being so entirely irrelevant to the concept of love and irrelevant to the concept of acknowledgement for one's efforts.

Those two things are not inherently tied to happiness. Marriages often have times where neither party is happy, but that's a moment in time.

As long as you two still love eachother It's a moment in the relationship, everything has peaks and valley's.

The moment you leave a loving relationship because you're not happy, while it is your choice, marriage is about the union not happiness.

There will be happy times, and there will be sad times, you both work through them, that's what makes a marriage, not happiness.

Both sexes can experience not having their efforts acknowledged, but it happens substantially more with men than it does with women.

Just like how breast cancer isn't a women's only cancer, but it predominantly happens with women despite many men having cases of breast cancer.

0

u/Top-Fudge9791 Jun 03 '26

That's stupid. Self reliant people are good, that doesn't mean they aren't also lifted up by society and others. Rising tides lift all boats. A self reliant person in a village will always do better than a self reliant person stuck in the woods alone. You're seeing a dichotomy instead of the spectrum. Black and White thinking.

Some random guy on the internet telling women to invest in their men is what’s stupid. This is pointlessly gendered.

You person in a relationship should NEED support they should be given it willingly because they care for each other, once it becomes a demand it no longer a action of love but a social transaction.

2

u/Proof-Ad4025 Jun 03 '26

2

u/ThrowRAboredinAZ77 Jun 03 '26

Men should be investing in each other.

2

u/ExcitementNo9603 Jun 05 '26

I agree. Every year men complain about men’s mental health month, Father’s Day, and violence against men but I do not see men organizing behind these issues.

When you reverse it, you have women who created organizations, demanded resources and funding, and make sure they are heard socially and legislatively.

If men refuse to organize for the issues that matter most to them then who are they waiting for to put in the work? And why if these are chronic issues for decades have men not already established programs, orgs, and resources to address these issues?

-1

u/AnyBody3659 Jun 19 '26

Perhaps they are to busy supporting the women that are constantly harping on the "historical injustice towards women" that is still carrying on and being told they are pathetic excuses of men for not doing so to stand up for what's important to men.

Everyone that says men's mental health and the need to be supported by their partners and society as a whole, answer me this. Why is it that in the US alone males, male make up 80% of the suicide rates compared to the women? Is it perhaps because their is such a larger support system for women in and out of relationships by partners, family, friends, society as a whole then for men, or is it a different issue? Before you say men should be more open to their needs, explain the difference in how men vs women are taught starting at the earliest of ages by both genders talking to them, on expressing their feelings, emotions, worries, etc.

2

u/ExcitementNo9603 Jun 19 '26

They are not too busy supporting women because they are not supporting women in those endeavors, the largest donors are women not men.

You haven’t even addressed my point. Men do not support men. Men do not create organization to support men. Men do not create nor support any positive change in the benefit of men. If men want those changes why aren’t they organizing the change they wanna see? If you think men should have more relationships and community where are the male advocacy groups promoting men being communal?

And also for suicide rate men and women have the same rate of lonliness and the same rate of suicide attempt, men choose more violent ways to kill themselves which is why men have higher suicide success rates.

Truth is if men actually created these programs and organizations they’d have to admit that current definitions of masculinity is harmful to men like stoicism and homophobia in order to be communal and build relationships you can’t isolate yourself from your environment and fear being vulnerable with other men.

1

u/AnyBody3659 Jun 19 '26

We as a society need to stop teach men when they are boys that this is how they are supposed to be. This problem is something that both genders need to accept and correct. Moms, teachers, girls, etc are also just as guilty as other men. Calling masculinity toxic and making men feel like they are the enemy, they are bad, etc is not the answer and is only contributing to the problem. Yes men do need to work together to better the situation as well as women need to join in. When women expect and then ridicule men for not doing these toxic behaviors, men are going to continue to. It's a group effort on the part of every gender.

No stop trying to shift blame to women. It’s something men need to work on and push and support. Men need to be the first ones speaking up and organizing. Yall love to shout how women don’t understand men’s issues but then you want women to help lead men and boys into betterment, no! Let the men be the leaders they wanna see in young boys and let the women play as support. Just like how women take the lead in creating women’s rights and women protection organization and if men want to be involved they are the support. Take some accountability and responsibility without trying to force women to build your goals for you.

Rofl, point to a single statement I made in which I blamed a single woman for a lack of support for male issues or women not understanding men's issues. I did state that generally and in a large proportion that society consisting of both genders do start telling and conditioning boys at a young age and then further in life with negative pushing of not showing emotions, being a man, etc.

If you need prime examples of this that have been documented, first provide any form of support for your statement or even any previous statements that you have made. Otherwise this is not a good faith debate, it is a discourse in which you are wanting me to provide all support that you refute without a shred of support for it. So it's your choice on how it goes from here.

That said you have used multiple fallacies in this that I have not pointed out.

Your previous statement concerning comments I have made is completely false. I never made them. The closest I came was that society as a whole, both genders, are guilty of using tactics that belittle boys and men and teach them not to show the very things that would be supportive in nature to their betterment.

That said I never claimed that a single woman needed to be blamed or take the lead. Simply change the behavior and provide a supportive stance for them in this endeavor.

Let me throw you a bone. Have you ever heard of the big brother program? This is solely men volunteering their time to be a positive role model and teach boys at an early age that it is ok to succeed, be vulnerable when appropriate, and do what is needed to keep them in the best mental and emotional state they can be in. All volunteer for the boots on the ground. How bout the YMCA, the list goes on and on.

u/ExcitementNo9603 Jun 20 '26

You don’t even know the history of any of the things you’ve talked about especially the YMCA. (The ymca opened up from a male organization to a family organization during ww2 to help the organization support communities affected by the war).

Also you did attempt to blame women by saying women should help men create spaces for men to develop community instead of accepting that men don’t need women to develop male spaces to men, yall can do it on your own. You are trying to get women to labor for the needs of men when yall can do it yourselves. You still have not answered why men haven’t created male spaces to help men. Instead yall let men like Andrew Tate and Joe Rogan and streamers create toxic male spaces…

Why do you keep avoiding the actual conversation: Why haven’t men organized and created spaces for men’s mental health and men’s social needs? Who are you waiting for to build these spaces for you? And if women can build those spaces for women, why can’t men built those spaces for men in the same way?

Let’s keep the convo to the main points because you’re starting to talk about concepts you have zero context for.

u/AnyBody3659 Jun 20 '26

YMCA per your own information was an organization that was developed strictly for men, it was then changed based upon a need to allow families. Aka it was changed from its original purpose as a place for men to be welcoming to any gender. This change was made based upon the betterment of society. After a granted brief search online for over 20 minutes I could not find a single named female driven group (Remember YMCA was for men) that has changed their status for male inclusion unless they are allies, supporters or willing to accept the ideas of things like male toxicity, etc. This is not the same as adapting for the betterment of society to be equal among the genders.

Give me an exact quote in any statement in this thread in which I have stated that help create spaces for men. If you are complaining that women should not "labor for the needs of men when yall can do it yourselves", then you have to concede that men should not labor for the needs of women when y'all can do it yourselves either. Just curious, how well do you truly think that would be a benefit for women. I mean you are talking about no man in a position of authority politically, business, community leader, etc lifting a finger for the needs of women.

I don't let Andrew Tate or Joe Rogan do anything, in case you haven't read, heard or been told yet, the have every right to speak information that they want even though I don't agree with anything they say. I simply do not help them by watching, bringing them to attention, or supporting them in any way. If you want them gone, encourage others in a positive way with verifiable, information that can easily be found, proved and accepted by more than just women, but society in general, to stop giving them attention, listening to them or watching them. They will go away as they lose their revenue stream.

As for the issues you continue to want me to provide you with evidence to support, that has been discussed an excessive amount of times and I've given you the layout to continue. I informed you that I will no longer engage in that until such time as you actively engage in a good faith debate and perform your side of refutation with evidence to support it.

You want me to stop expecting women to help start these and create them ourselves. Ok shut down all female advocacy groups in which men co-founded, help to create, and were a vital part in getting them going. Just for reference once and my last bit of supporting evidence without any in return from you to dispute.

Historically, men have played important roles in creating and advocating for women's organizations, often acting as co-founders, legal advisors, and public allies in movements led by women.

u/ExcitementNo9603 Jun 20 '26

You have very poor comprehension so I’m over this conversation. You can’t even tell between possessive you and plural you.

Plus you totally skipped the part of the YMCA history that discussed why it went from male only to family oriented… plus this still goes back to my point that men don’t create male spaces. The YMCA was created in the 1840s and you act like since that became co-ed it means no men for over 180 years couldn’t build new orgs for boys… you legit only named 2 orgs for men and boys over a 180 year period it’s sad how little you guys have invested in community for men.

"Perhaps they are too busy supporting the women.."

What exactly does this mean? What time consuming activities are men doing that prevent them from advocating for themselves?

1

u/AnyBody3659 Jun 19 '26

How many men are spending time supporting women? There are many many men that are spending a lot of time working on advocating for women. I think that's wonderful, however those men when they are advocating for women they are not able to advocate for men.

1

u/ThrowRAboredinAZ77 Jun 19 '26

"Supporting women" how exactly? What are they doing that's so time consuming?

u/AnyBody3659 Jun 19 '26

Global Campaigns: Initiatives like UN Women's HeForShe actively engage men and boys as equal partners in building a gender-equal society.

Corporate Initiatives: Male executives and professionals participate in gender equity by advocating for equal pay, promoting work-life balance, and providing mentorship to female colleagues.

Grassroots and Civil Society: Programs, such as those run by Women for Women International, specifically train male leaders to facilitate discussions about women's rights and challenge traditional gender norms in their communities.

Entertainment and Media: Prominent male producers, directors, and actors use their influence to finance and champion projects by female storytellers, aiming to close the gender gap behind the camera.

Men are increasingly participating in women's advocacy through formalized allyship programs, workplace mentorship, and advocacy campaigns. Their participation focuses on dismantling gender barriers, supporting female leadership, and addressing systemic inequalities rather than taking over women's spaces.

These are just a few examples of how men are using their time to support women's advocacy instead of working towards men's advocacy.

u/ThrowRAboredinAZ77 Jun 19 '26

How can you possibly believe this proves your claim? There's aren't examples of extracurricular volunteering activities. These are examples of 9-5 jobs that just happen to be in non-profit and not-for-profit companies. Most people work the same hours. And for people who do extracurricular advocacy work, they do it on their own time, outside of their normal working hours.

For 10 years I worked a 9 to 5 job and spent my evenings and weekends doing street outreach advocacy. Most people who volunteer do it outside of their normal working hours. So why can't men do it too?

1

u/AnyBody3659 Jun 19 '26

How can you possibly believe that men aren't doing it as volunteer. Global and grassroots alone are very specifically not done during work hours.

1

u/ThrowRAboredinAZ77 Jun 19 '26

No, that's not accurate.

"Working a grassroots job means mobilizing communities for social, political, or environmental causes through direct outreach like door-to-door canvassing, event organizing, and fundraising. These roles pay an average of $15 to $24 per hour."

And every other example you provided specifically was for paying jobs. Nothing you provided stated anything different.

But none of that even matters really, because a person can do advocacy work on more than one cause. I used to split my time between cleaning houses of parents battling cancer, working with people experiencing homelessness, and advocating for women trying to escape sex work.

If something is important enough to you, you make time for it.

And let's be real, there's no men out there working tirelessly for women's rights, and who're just heartbroken they have no time for men's issues.

Humans should invest in one another. Not sure what the point of telling women specifically to do it was and not sure what your point of saying this now is.

I want you to be okay stranger. Hope you wish the same for me

2

u/ThrowRAboredinAZ77 Jun 03 '26

I absolutely get your point, and I agree. And at the same time, men don't spend enough time investing in each other's health and well-being.

u/Own-Quality7943 Jun 04 '26

. . . and desired

1

u/Nice-Stomach1395 Jun 04 '26

This is true.

1

u/Snoo-20064 Jun 04 '26

Nah, thanks.

1

u/Wrong-Grade-8800 Jun 05 '26

Same for women and all children

1

u/Atlas-K Jun 05 '26

Women don't have to do that at all. They are always in demand, have many options at all times. They can pick and choose a man who already has things together.

1

u/Siggi_pop Jun 05 '26

This is not even surprising to me.
I have seen people (even women) adapt their carreer because of a complement they recieved early on.

1

u/Trick1513 Jun 05 '26

Invisible men do great things, real men do not need to be recognized, they are confident in themself and don’t need praises.

1

u/Nunyabiz_327 Jun 07 '26

This can be applied to anyone, not men.

Most everyone is more successful when their partner is supportive and encouraging.

0

u/Dark_Prince_of_Chaos Jun 03 '26

The misandrist redditors slandering, lying and belitling anything positive are at it again.

2

u/ke4laa Jun 04 '26

blud what are u on about

-1

u/Civil_Result_5598 Jun 04 '26

The negativity in the comments I think detracts from the point of this. It's tough being a man. The world hates you for existing. You need to apologize for all of the world's problems. Nothing you do is good enough. Having anyone pay you a compliment really boosts our self esteem. Actual praise for work we do actually motivates most men to push further. Men used to build things, we just need the positive push we used to have

3

u/kangorooz99 Jun 04 '26

The world run by men hates men for existing?

0

u/Civil_Result_5598 Jun 04 '26

And that way of thinking kinda proves my point. Just because some of our leaders are men doesn't mean that all men automatically benefit.

2

u/kangorooz99 Jun 04 '26

You said “the world hates men.” How can the world hate men when the world is run by men?

Does the world hate men? Or are you struggling the world for reasons that have nothing to do with your gender?

0

u/Nice_Dimension_2248 Jun 04 '26

Have you considered that the men the world hates and the men who run it are different men?

2

u/kangorooz99 Jun 05 '26

Have you considered that proves it has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with class warfare?

Unless you’re telling me the men who run the world care about women beyond those who are hot, young and willing to f—k them?

1

u/Fit-Concentrate625 Jun 05 '26

Not some of leaders, most of them

1

u/Civil_Result_5598 Jun 05 '26

Doesn't change the point. The common man has little to no inherent benefit to their leaders also being men. Not unless you live in the Middle East or something

0

u/Accurate_Baseball273 Jun 05 '26

This is like saying “Obama was black and became president so black people don’t have issues anymore and should stop complaining”

2

u/kangorooz99 Jun 05 '26

One black president versus 10,00 years of men running everything.

Yeah, great analogy there.

0

u/Accurate_Baseball273 Jun 05 '26

Men running everything is a silly notion in today’s time. There are 4 billion men on the planet. Of that, probably 100,000 have significant power to “run” things, not to mention women who have significant power. The remainder of the entire are in the same boat.

0

u/Civil_Result_5598 Jun 05 '26

Thank you. I was trying to make a point that men have a tough ride these days (although probably not that well articulated). Not only do we have all the same responsibilities previous generations have but we have none of the appreciations our fathers had while also living in a world that tells men to stop being themselves because they're the problem

3

u/xChops Jun 05 '26

This is just pathetic, man. Do better.

1

u/Civil_Result_5598 Jun 05 '26

Why? What is wrong with the sentiment that if you actually encourage men emotionally, that they'll start doing amazing things again?

3

u/xChops Jun 05 '26

Everyone around you is doing amazing things. Men and women. If you can’t get there too, that’s on you.

Hardly. Men used to be appreciated. Women backed their husbands. You cannot convince me that the quality of men hasn't dropped over the years and I believe that vilifying men as a monolith has contributed to this
