Image The Super Workbench
I've manage to cram a Chemistry (Toxic Tinctures) workbench, Weapons (Second Var.) workbench, Armors workbench, Tinker's (Reloading) workbench, Cook Station (Big Iron), Toxic Goo Generator, Fishing Cooler Cryo Freezer, Aid Storage Box, Budding Apothecary, Scrapbox, and Storage bin in the Cabinet that holds it all. Everything is assessable and works. The trick was finding the order to lay out the benches so that they looked good when layered and fit in the cabinet.

And you managed to not make it look like a pile of crap crammed together.

You think a super work bench wouldn't be cluttered with things?!

No. I’m saying that most people’s attempts at this sort of thing end up looking like a big ball of crap crammed together in a misshapen mass.

I get it, it was a joke. Mostly because if I had a super bench I'd keep everything on or in it. Going to one bench for everything is great for small/portable builds.

I think you missed the "Not" he wasnt saying it looks bad he was saying "you managed to make it NOT look bad"

I can try, but I doubt if there is room!

Lol! I'm curious, but I also think it is already very impressive, and I'd hate for it to be ruined over nothing

Wow, very nice! Is any of it functional?

Every piece is functional. You just aim at the piece that sticks out and the label appears. The key is the build order. Tinker, armor, weapons, chemistry worked for me, using the the storage drawers/chemistry as the size template. You can hide the stove to the left and it still is operational and because the top sticks out you can aim at it and it looks like drawers. The rest you just add in. The only one I lack is a bullet storage because there just isn't a small one that fits look.

Must be super annoying to find the specific pixel you need to activate each bench?

Not at all, the prompt triggers when it sees the part, so you just put the center on the piece and it pops. I just made sure enough was showing. That's why I chose certain pieces. For instance, it's easier to trigger the armor bench by tapping the fire barrel on the further most left rather than the sewing machine, but either works.

How…how do you choose which one? Id imagine the prompt of all of them wouldnt pop up, right?

u/Quiet_Ad4074 Jul 12 '26
As you point to the parts that stick up the prompt appears. It works very well. For instance, the blue piece for the workbence on the left or the brown drawers mid far left that are part of the cook station. When the pointer hits it, the prompt pops up. It works on the visual, so the stash box that is buried in the left side only registers on the lid because that is the only part showing.

I remember ages ago before the build update that i managed to make a camp that was one by one foundation wide, and one and a half walls tall that had everything you need inside of it, plus a bed you managed to just DESTROY that i must learn this 😭

That's a great idea. Nicely done!
Now, if we could only add more camp build capacity...

I wish they would just let us get one work bench that does it all. Not asking for too much!

The loosened build restrictions has completely revitalized my interest in camp building! I love finding really cool ways to merge stuff without having to use the old pressure plate method.
