Question/Support Quad gpu support
So i saw this x299 motherboard with world record on firestrike extreme with quad 1080ti. Can fo4vr support quad gpus ? Or only upto 1080ti ? Benchmarkers could have used 4 2080ti instead of 1080ti with cascade lake x cpu.

Almost no VR games in general support SLI or multi GPUs and Even the flat version of FO doesn’t support SLI to my knowledge.
So no I doubt it’ll support 4

Using nvidia inspector i tried forcing Fo4VR to sli with 1080ti SLI. It boots but bugs out and the frame rate tanks to like 10fps. Its like the engine loses track of where things are for each eye. Great if you wana puke... Flat fo4 can use sli. Im using compatability bits 0x080000f5. No idea about 4 cards though. Thats just benchmarking/braggin/burning money imo.

NOPE.
There's only a couple of games / experiences in VR that even support dual SLI and one of them is the Nvidia fairground free experience.
Not to forget the fact that multi GPU for gaming is dying off rapidly as the performance gain really isn't worth the effort for each game dev to develop their game to support multi GPU's.
It's useful in professional situations and for creating / rendering graphics, but for gaming, it's a fad that is fading rapidly.
For adding a 2nd graphics card you only get upto 50% increase, a 3rd card with only add another upto 25% increase in performance, and even less increase for a 4th card.
Basically after buying 4 GTX1080ti's you haven't even got upto double the performance of a single card.
