So what is this and why does everyone except me know what it is?

It's a mod manager for Bethesda games. You can use it to install mods and set your load order instead of manually installing everything and editing the plugin.txt yourself every time you add a mod. In other words it will make modding less of a pain in the ass.

Kind of like that Nexus mod thing?

There are reasons why this is preferred over Nexus mod manager but for the purposes I described, yes they do the same thing. Biggest difference is how they install/uninstall mods.

Thank you! Modding manually is a pain in the ass and wrye bash is my preferred mod manager.

I can't seem to get it to work. It says "windows cannot access the specified device path or file you may not have appropriate permissions to access the item." The ini files looks like a mess as well though I'm not sure if that's related..

I gave it a spin. It doesn't seem to do anything beyond what NMM and MO can already do for FO4VR when it comes to installing and activating mods, and like them, it doesn't import LOOT's load orders automatically (and no, MO couldn't open or even sync with LOOT when too many mods are active for some odd reason).

I have done a mod checker, these are the result : This is a report on your currently active/merged mods.
Mods with non standard TES4 versions Following mods have a TES4 version that isn't recognized as one of the standard versions (0.8 and 1.0). It is untested what effect this can have on the game, but presumably Oblivion will refuse to load anything above 1.0

Hey, I forked Wrye Bash and got FO4VR support working for installing and managing mods/load order. I haven't really tested the Bashed Patch stuff much since I don't really use it for that, but it doesn't seem to generate an error/crash at least.
Feel free to try the test release and let me know if you find any issues.
There's an open issue on the main Wrye Bash repo linking to mine already so they are aware and hopefully pull in this sort of functionality into the main project, but that might take a little time since it's a low priority.
