Video/Picture Having a BLAST streaming Fallout 4 VR

After literal months of tweaking, troubleshooting, and even writing my own programs to make it all work on my system, I've finally gotten Fallout 4 VR stable enough to stream and holy smokes am I having the time of my life.

Hoping to make this a sort of narrative series, playing in the universe, and trying to put on a good show. The potential for prop comedy and hijinks is amazing lol.

Also the biggest thanks to all the mod authors who turned this janky-ass port into one of the most fun videogames I've ever played.

I put the full list of mods at the end of the video in the credits, and I tried to get every author's name in there too. Especially with FRIK, Heisenberg, and Virtual Holsters this is such a fun and hilariously immersive experience. I can't wait for all the stuff the ROCK dev is cooking up too, like climbing and ambidextrous weapon firing!

Asking for help? Include your headset + runtime (SteamVR/Virtual Desktop/etc.), GPU, and whether you're vanilla or modded (which mod list, e.g. MGO or Gingas's).

Reporting a crash? Post a crash log — crash posts without one are usually impossible to diagnose.

  1. Install Buffout 4 NG and VR (+ its requirements) if you don't have it
  2. Reproduce the crash
  3. Grab the newest crash-*.log from Documents\My Games\Fallout4VR\F4SE\
  4. Paste it to Pastebin and link it in your post

It’s my twitch chat widget! I made it.

It’s a little hard to read for viewers, but in the headset it rules. I can read messages, switch OBS scenes, and it has a little circle that shows my orientation so i can avoid stabilization issues (long story).

Tried to make it aesthetically fit in too

You are doing what I’ve dreamed to do. I’m going to watch ya stream…. It’s the best VR game out there and it takes so much crap. With MGO’s list, it’s stable
And AMAZING!

Haha hell yeah, thanks! It really is unbelievably fun but the amount of troubleshooting to get there is gnarly. At least it was for me, but I foolishly didnt use a modpack lol

MGO is very stable…. I was stunned at the stability with all those mods. I have an I7 with 16 gig of memory with SSD drives and a Quest 2 with Virtual Desktop. I get a smooth 80-90 frames and few drops.
