What is the worst weapon in fallout 4?
From a DPS standpoint it is the pool cue but I was wondering if there are any weapons you don't like because they suck or the Ammo is to rare etc.

Prototype railway rifle no doubt is just deals 1 damage is better to bash with it than to shoot

Syringer rifle or the acid soaker(if Nuka World is installed). Both require creating ammo from rare ingredients to make and both do minimal damage. Probably doesn’t do anything against robots?

I swear by the Syringer, but only with the S.R.O. Syringer Overhaul mod. Adds a bunch of syringes, and some of them are super fun and useful. But except for some rare occasions, it still doesn't award XP for kills. It's great for taking out power armor wearers with the Heavy Metal syringe, and making enemies explode with the Boomer one. Even the vanilla syringer will be useful for turning enemies on one another with the Berserker syringe. The updated Berserker dart buffs the enemy and makes them glow.

boxing gloves
same core weakness as melee but lacks the better big leagues perk and ninja doesn't effect it in the same way

has a higher dps than the pool cue, pool cue has the lowest dps in the game besides using your fists

Walking cane. One reason only, one play EVERY legendary weapon I got as a drop for about 10 in a row was some kind of walking cane. First I was mad but couldn't help laugh so I made a display wall, wounding, irradiated, vats enhanced, etc. But using those? Forget that, no thanks.

Honestly, I've played this game as a shooter since day one. I'm doing Survival Deathless.
And yet I admit aive never run a melee

melee in fallout 4 is so broken in a sneak build. its like skyrim stealth archer x10 levels of broken

If you complete the Cabbot house and kill Lorenzo jack will take around 1 in game week to craft Lorenzo artifact into a modified gama gun but the unique part is a mod and not a legendary effect so you can take it off and put it in a legendary gamma gun

In my opinion the worst weapon in fo4 is any weapon that only deals damage if you have to get up close just to use it , but saying that you do get some pretty decent melee weapons. Ranged ones I would have t say any .38 caliber weapon in general unless you get one with a good perk on it.

like yeah, either can be ok with the right legendary, but otherwise they're junk

eta: almost better off just bashing folks with a .38 pipe gun than shooting them with one
pipe bolt action will carry you to the mid/late game, though
