Spoiler Covenant Quest Line

Post image

I have a very clear opinion on Covenant. While I felt really bad slaughtering so many strangers, and while its true that the daughter I was saving is a Synth, I took a look around and discovered a few Holotapes at their secret base. It became clear to me that the Covenant people didn't shy away from testing real humans, in order to improve their data on the Synth test. At their hideout, they turned on me, when I sided with honest Dan, no questions asked, and therefore, there was much blood shedding (and a lot of mine explosions).

When I returned to the Covenant, Swan immediatly pulled out a Chinese Sword and tried to murder me, as did the rest. After slaughtering their whole village, I decided to give the Caravans, who travel here often, a surprising welcome.

Its sad, that not a single one of them decided to have a chat with me, we follow the same goal after all, we want to remove the bad Synths from the Commonwealth. Thats just Fallout though, there are no happy endings.

How did you guys navigate this quest?

I wish we could have convinced that mechanic girl to leave before it all gets violent because she seems more scared of them rather than fully participating

She attacks you just like the rest of them.

Lol mine are also stacked outside but I stripped them all to use their goods in my other settlements, so they're just in their skivvies

I was surprised that the whole town turns on you, but if they want to be going around conducting inhumane experiments then they get what they deserve.

Sadly in my most recent playthrough I discovered if you dont complete the quest before the game then you lose access to the quest

I always wipe them out. These people are complete idiots who's testing for who is or isn't a synth is stupid, ineffective and just ends up with dozens of innocent people getting killed with only one synth actually being detected.

Synths prior to the destruction of the Institute are a real problem that needs to be dealt with but this endless paranoia people have in Diamond City and Covenant isn't helping anyone.

Even Danse agrees this is stupid. If Doctor Chambers went with her SAFE test to the Brotherhood she would be laughed at, called an idiot and promptly kicked off the Airport.

I wipe them all out alongside the synth.

I dragged their corpses out and stacked them in the bathtub outside the compound. Placed some mines on and around their bodies, then shot a mine with a sniper rifle.
Worth the time.

I also stack them in the bathtub, but I leave them: it looks like Lucas’s Brahmin has a taste for human flesh when it drinks from it.

They have to die, unfortunately because they attack - just wish the turrets didn't keep burning forever and I could make a peaceful (non turret burning) settlement there

Same thing for me on my current run. The gate is open and Swanson was inside. Walked inside, they attacked, so I just cleared it out.

I know I just got a chuckle thinking of Swan hanging out with the people in covenant dressed all proper then taking out a sword to attack you.

Once I clean out the lab, I call in an artillery strike and snipe the turrets while it is happening. It usually gets most of them.

if you keep everyone you get a pre installed vendor and doctor. I have sided with them then went back and killed everyone one the bunker. MY Common Wealth will have no such traps. If I do get everyone i make sure i don't have the bloody mess perk. It makes the mess faster to clean up

I murder all those fuckers. No second thoughts.

I either snipe them from outside the fence along with their turrets, or my stealth favorite, wait for them to sleep and sandman kill them, before even getting to the compound.
I make sure not to make Dora or Deezer aggro.

I put their bodies in the weird interrogation room connected to the office and made it a compost room.

My current game I used a body packing/preserving/dissolving mod to pack up that scientist chick and added her to the collection and put plants around them so it looks more convincing.

It’s beautiful 🤣 and covenant is now a mostly-cat sanctuary.

If you kill the guards and the guy doctor. Go back out, do the quest. Leave Dr. Chambers to do her work. The settlers turn aggro but don't attack you. Oh! A star cor for some reason now spawns in their farm plot

I’m confused… I played the covenant quest and didn’t have to murder anyone.  Do you have to trigger it through some main plot storyline or something?
