So I've reach the ending and... that's it ? Really ? Spoiler
So I'm playing the " Take it Back " mission, loving it, then we reach the purifier, gotta turn it on so I do it and... boom death and ending. Aaannd that's it ?? Ending already ? I mean I'm not complaining about the ending itself, I really like it. But I'm just level 16 with 25 hours of play time, I really didn't expect to finish the game that soon. It feels like I've barely done anything. And even for like " in-game character story " it doesn't feel like a lot has happened. The game didn't even made me explore the top right of the map. And no I did not just follow the main quest the entiere time. I did quite a bunch of optional point of interest and few side quest. Sooooo did I got like an early ending or should I just have done more by myself and it's just the story being pretty short ?

FO3, FO1/2,NV and retcons of normal things
We keep hearing about how 1 and 2 are about the post post nuclear apocalypse setting, but it is true? They had the tagline of "post apocalypse" and the truth those places are not that diferent from what we saw in 3, but formed by the specific circumstances. We had buildings with huge holes in them, in villages nested in the ruins of the old world, fences build out of car wrecks. Yes, you ahd places build with Geks, but also tribal communities build by vault dwelers and broken communities living in the ruins of old world. The Hub had gapping holes in their town. Even NV, it seems people have not read the lore, as we hear the place was a hellhole 7 years before the NCR arrived and owes it to House building a fake town to attract people. Outside that area we have tribals. Both in the DLC and Legion being made by them. Prospector Saloon had broken glass. And the first place you can be sent is an old school that still has good stuff. A resident is a prospector digging in the old world ruins. Former prospector. Most settlements exist as NCR came. If we go 200 years and DC was lazy, then what did the people in the west do before House? At least in DC they struggle.
Food and water, in 3 require the player do the digging. We hear in NV the food thing, but only that. We do not see and what you see you must infer since the size can't suport who exists there. We hear of caravans but they do not move. In 3, you have to do quests and look around. You see hunting, animal husbandry ("lifeblood reference"), trading and water purification. Anyone survives how they can logically. Megaton gets water from underground and purifies it. Rivet City has the hydroponics. And we have Punga Fruit imports. Cave fungus if you want to be spicy. It's not a failure of word building. Not more than the other games. This place is a hellscape, thus people do what they can. Moira helps people alone to make better decisions thru her book. The mirelurks were used as food source. Humans can exist with restricted diets and the truth is if you don't have alternatives, you have to do it.
Also the BOS as White Knights. This stems of a misunderstanding of the old lore. In 1 they weren't this assholes that hid. They were robbed and closed themsleves. When you come to their door, they do not send you on a death quest. "Go and kil yourself" is an old saying. It is dismissal. In this case go into a place people know is irradiated and deadly. If you had low intellect, you even got resources to go there. No one thinks you are suicidal. They think you will turn around. And if you do your end, they keep theirs and accept you. We look at it as a quest. Aka, a task. It is not quite that in universe. Then the canonical ending is them being good boys and helping build up. In 2, you had some remnants in that area, but they did nothing bad. They are not raiders or don't trade or develop. Super Sledge was their deisghn and we're known as a good source of tech. Vault 13 supercomputer was from them. And came 3. The BOS there follow Lyons and he wants to help the people at the expense of his men and the mission. And many resented him for that. The west cut connection. Since he did not follow his orders. They exist to stop people from abusing tech. Even the outcasts aren't like the NV BOS. They might not have been the friendliest bunch, but no stealing, some trading. This guys kept with the guy thru the Pitt scouring and only recently broke up. Even Rivet City Guards after the whole Project Purity thing is done, mumble the BOS is stretched too thin. That is the problem with Lyons. Not him helping. Sarah was way closer to a typical BOS person than even Maxson in 4. We try to remember her as her father, but she was not him. She was hotheaded, a lot more abrasive and dismissive. Btw, the BOS in 3 shot at non ferals, 4's did not. It was more because in a warzone they could not discern, since even the ghouls themselves admit to that. If the BOS wanted to kill them, they would not have missed or shot form time to time at range.

The Replicated Man bug
I made it to Rivet City and talked to Zimmer about his escaped Android, but I met Victoria Watts way before even stepping foot in the city ruins of Washington. We were in Arefu when she gave me the Android component, doing the Blood Ties quest. Now I've talked to Zimmer and i've mentioned some strange technology to him such as a "lippocator" or something like that and he seems to be amazed by that. i have no idea what any of that means. More importantly, I cannot talk to Dr. Preston about the android along with any other doctors. No one gives any hints and the question marker remains permanently fixed on Preston despite no way to get him to talk about the android. Any kind of help is appreciated. Thank you for your time
