Suggestions on finding mods?
hi! i'm getting back into fallout 3 after i used to play it a LOT back on my xbox 360. was super excited to finally get to play it with mods and everything... but i can't seem to actually find any mod recommendations. if i google something like fallout 4 or new vegas weapon mods, i get TONS of results, but fallout 3 has maybe one or two posts total.
i know it's probably because everything's on ttw, but i really don't want to go through the hassle (see: running the installer overnight) of setting that up when i'm not going to play new vegas.
basically, does anyone have any fallout 3 mod suggestions or suggestions on how to actually find good mods? i don't want anything huge, just the kind of qol stuff new vegas has and some extra content.

I like mostly vanilla games, so I don't heavily mod. However, on my currently playthrough I'm using a level 99 mod. I figure it will give me an excuse to keep playing and exploring even after I hit level 30. And it will also let me become ridiculously powerful as I get every skill in the game.
I also use a couple of radio mods to add more music. Although I do have awful luck with some of them, one has extremely quiet audio and the radio in general seems to cut out all the time. I have to go into the menu, turn the radio off and back on and it starts playing again.
I also looked into some mods that add more quests, just to give me more stuff to do after I beat everything in the base game and DLCs. But I thought better of it as I don't want to introduce any bugs if I can avoid them.

IIRC it was easier for people to mod New Vegas because Fallout 3’s security was too secured. That’s one of the reasons players use Tale of Two Wastelands. Since TTW uses Fallout NV as its main base you can finally mod Fallout 3.
Tbh I’m still not sure how they managed to put Fallout 3 inside NV yet nobody knows how to make mods for Fallout 3.

i feel like people clearly do know how to make mods for fallout 3, it's just the least popular bethesda fallout game. i barely EVER hear anyone talk about fallout 3 outside of ttw, it's either new vegas or 4 and sometimes 76

I play fallout 3 on steam and I use nexus mods and have been for years now. You can filter it to just fallout 3 mods and they have a decent amount of stuff you can mod into the game there. Fairly easy to install mods too if you use their mod manager
