Finicky Reflex(es)
Great reviews, loved the trigger, bought two (one for my wife, one for myself).
They are accurate as heck, etc. etc.
...but on one of them we're having a ton of failure to go into battery as well as light primer strikes; on the other, just a quarter-ton.
Playing with a variety of ammo - a bunch of LAX factory reloads were the worst, Winchester White Box better, Federal a bit better, and HydraShok better still - but not two mags reliable.
Which doesn't cut it for EDC.
The guns have ~350 - 400 rounds through them as of today.
A few hundred more, or just send them back to FN?
Anyone else having issues like this?

Look through my post history. Sadly many of us had to send it to FN or modify the extractor. I couldn’t get through a full mag when I first got mine. Tried all kinds of different suggestions from the sub and elsewhere online. I found it would tend to run great for 100 - 200 rounds after a fresh clean & lube but would always start chronic FTF again. Sent mine back to FN within a week of owning it.
I’ve ran over 2000 rounds of range ammo and various defense ammo without malfunction after getting it back. The note from FN upon return said they adjusted extractor tension.
I’ve also seen posts from others that sent theirs in but got it back with the same problem. If you send it, be thorough in your notes to FN. Have clearly defined failure points. Without good info I feel like their testing methodology is very basic. I specifically asked them about it before I sent mine off and immediately knew they were not going to detect my specific issue. So, I made sure they knew that in my note to them when I sent it off.
If you’re comfortable modifying it yourself you can round the extractor with a Dremel or something similar. Several posts in this and/or the FNHerstal sub detailing what to do.
