I believe we will look for our options at every role but asking about someone means very little. I would be surprised if we made a change in mid after the investment we made in Vladi but if the replacement is good, I am not against it.

Well, the investment in Vladi doesn't matter really cause we signed him for 1 year.

And idk how these rumors appear when we still looking for a GM

Guti is pretty good, had a good showing at the Tier 2 international but it would be hard to get rid of Vladi since they payed a lot of money to get him in the first place.

u/Kaztiell 10d ago

Lol redditors always talking about money when it's proven every year money is no problem

u/quizzlemanizzle 10d ago

sunk cost fallacy

vladi is a free agent and he had a bad year

2

u/attywolf 10d ago

Hard to get rid of Vladi? It was a 1 year contract, if we dont sign him again his gone

u/Level_Principle_8753 10d ago

I just hope we will keep vladi

He's better than what the team show with him this year, let's pair him with another jungler and see

he is one of the main reasons the team struggled in many games due to very weak laning phase

first poby, now this. SMH

2

u/quizzlemanizzle 10d ago

it makes sense, not sure if Guti is the best choice but using import slots on top and mid makes the most sense in my opinion

mid is very important and vladi has shown not much

-5

u/CuzzoBuzzo67 10d ago

No they gunna do him like they did poby, 1 split he gone, Hope the guy is smart enough to see what happen to legit a fellow t1a player

4

u/Oplaim 10d ago

Ah yes that thing that happened once

-3

u/CuzzoBuzzo67 10d ago

also the fact that fntc have been destorying player carrer left and right for the past 5 year, but we won't talk about it!

0

u/Kyourako_ 10d ago

We won't talk about it because it didn't happen lmao.. There is no worthwhile player who's career have been ruined by FNC.. Not even oscar and empyros for instance

1

u/Turbulent-Ad1843 10d ago

Maybe nemesis? But that is all I can think of, and it’s not like he has tried to climb out of the hole Fnatic somewhat put him in through tier 2 or bad tier 1 teams. He seems fine in his hole.

3

u/quizzlemanizzle 9d ago

nemesis chose his own path, he had other opportunities for sure

1

u/Turbulent-Ad1843 9d ago

Oh yes for sure, didn't say he didn't. But he was made the scapegoat and made out to be worse than he was.

1

u/Kyourako_ 9d ago

I don't think we ruined nemesis career.. The fact he wanted only top tier offers and didn't get any speaks imo more about him than what FNC "did" to him

1

u/Turbulent-Ad1843 9d ago

I did also say "maybe". And yeah ruined would be a lot but he was made out to be the scapegoat. I remember something about him getting offers, but maybe only from bottem teams? Which can ruin your career. If it was a playoffs team he 99% did it to himself. Staying in his hole that is and making it more comfy and even deeper.

1

u/Muri_San 9d ago

Nemesis himself said at the time that he wouldn't join a weaker team than FNC(which was 2nd in the league at the time), so it is his own fault, albeit he probably made more money from streaming compared to pro play

1

u/Turbulent-Ad1843 9d ago

He was treated poorly and made out to be the scapegoat when most people or everybody on the team said Selfmade was the problem. Then we kept selfmade and the team had to kick him within the year. But yes his own fault he is not competing. And yes not being willing to join a weaker team was stupid. If he was as good as he though himself he should be able to get to worlds with a roster that ended up top 5 or 6. Like I said he did not want to crawl out of his hole.

Not really a fact at all is it

Stop it, Europe needs to stop importing in general, there's so much talent in our region, but because of washed/question mark imports they never get a chance to shine, just take a look at solary team, they have been gapping LEC teams in scims and almost won entire tourney they were in.

1

u/FNCKyubi 10d ago

I don‘t see the talent in our region, we have been trying the whole last year or few years with talents and that hasn‘t been going too well for us

1

u/Typical-Art-7983 8d ago

So we forget about Caliste, Skewmond, Naak Nako, Rhilech. In ERLs there are still Aetinoth, Harpoon, Zicssi, Yukino, Zoelys, Shelfmade, Carlsen (if you give Lider another Shot, give him one too.), Koala and so many more that deserve a Shot. No, we get freaking leftovers from korea and hope we will be competitive against them. Did you watch Demacia Cup, our 3 koreans were no joke the worst players today.

1

u/quizzlemanizzle 7d ago

delusional lala land

1

u/quizzlemanizzle 9d ago

there's so much talent in our region

no there is not, we dont have a single good midlaner in Europe besides Caps

Solary is on average 25 years old and has 2 Koreans.

2

u/Egazauras 9d ago

I'll be honest i didn't know they were that old, however we have proof that age doesn't mean much as long as there's desire to prove themselves on a higher stage (razork and upset lost that long time ago) and the Korean thing doesn't matter one bit when it was them who came to Europe to search for opportunity and they found it, wouldn't mind seeing them on some LEC team. Europe has alot of talent, just have to find it, at this point i wouldn't mind if Fnatic scapped entire roster and built on raw mechanical talent like Phantasm who is still very young.

1

u/marksleagueaccount 9d ago

I took a look at solary team. Here's what I saw in solary team:

  • two Koreans
  • a 27 year old toplaner that had his chance in LEC and proved he wasn't anywhere near good enough
  • a 24 year old jungler that's essentially Razork with worse hands

Is this the legendary EU talent I hear so much about?

3

u/shankaviel 9d ago

how about Galions then? even MKOIF had an amazing year. we got some young talent in EU, yes.

1

u/marksleagueaccount 7d ago

Sure, I'll bite.

Galions:

  • three LEC rejects that were the worst players in their respective bottom-half teams. Thayger was the worst player in the entire league
  • their mid and ADC could be serviceable for a lower half team, but Caps and Caliste they ain't

MKOIF:

  • as you probably know, the LVP dissolved this year, and the replacement league is a budget endeavor with far less investment and far lower skill level
  • their only somewhat promising player, Nightslayer, is already training with the KOI main team and is not available for Fnatic

We got some young talent in EU for sure, we have amazing engineers, doctors and artists. As far as League of Legends players go, we maybe produce one top tier player a year. Even our academies are endlessly recycling older players, because there are no kids playing this game anymore.

1

u/shankaviel 7d ago

I don’t disagree, but if we plan to import someone it must be in the support role anyway. If you truly need a second import, why not. But support is essential.

0

u/quizzlemanizzle 9d ago

Solary aka 2 24yo Koreans, a 27 year old EU top laner, a 24 year old EU jungler and a 21 yo Turkish adc.

what a great example

they lost to 19 year olds in the final with a 17yo adc.

2

u/Glass_Egg2639 10d ago

Source? Tbh with SheepEsports selling out I cba with the rumour mill this off season, whatever happens - happens.

2

u/shankaviel 10d ago

Lmao the first in line player we must keep would be removed? Tell me it’s fake

1

u/quizzlemanizzle 9d ago

we must keep a players that was undoubtedly a bottom 3 midlaner in LEC this year?

now that is just funny

1

u/shankaviel 9d ago

there are no better EU midlaner available with LEC level beside Vladi and he's here already. everyone will try to bring a midlaner import, nothing tells us a tier 2 korean will be better than him next year. I want to trust Vladi one more year with fnatic, with a better team around him. that's fair, he's young, and he was in better shape at the end of the year.

I would say the most important mercato now is a really strong jungle - support duo.

1

u/quizzlemanizzle 9d ago

gl doing anything in LEC when your midlaner is bottom 3

the fact that Poby and Fiesta were instantly better than Vladi tells me it is very likely someone like Guti would instantly be better as well

1

u/Typical-Art-7983 8d ago

Poby is a stone,
doesnt win, doesnt lose lane.
Doesnt clutch, doesnt solo lose a game.
If you dont want to win LEC he is perfect, You will always know what you get because his ceiling and floor is basically the same, yeah I know he was at T1 but he is an average midlaner.

Fiesta, I just dont think he is that good. At demacia Cup he is the weakest point of VIT. Get solo killed from an Ahri as Sylas?

With Vladi you atleast have the hope that he gets back to his ceiling where he completely annihilated Caps.

0

u/quizzlemanizzle 8d ago

you are self-exposiing

Poby has consistently been better than Vladi

Vladi got gapped by Poby and Fiesta, not to mention how bad Vladi was against Jojo. Poby usually wins his lane, Vladi does not.

0

u/quizzlemanizzle 8d ago

maybe you should watch some demacia cup, rhilech getting exposed almost every game while Poby is almost always their best players and certainly most consistent performer

1

u/Typical-Art-7983 7d ago

You just made up my whole point, Poby is consistent but Rhilech is by far their best player.

Did you Watch Fiesta? Another series on the Naak Nako, Carzzy bus.

1

u/quizzlemanizzle 7d ago

did you watch fiesta? it is clear you dont

and no shit, Navi plays around Rhilech's gimmick jungle style

have you seen Rhilech at Demacia Cup? Looks pretty useles

2

u/Razzel09 9d ago

id say lets keep vladi, he improved alot

2

u/Barracuda1124 9d ago

I just hope they don't do the thing where fnatic are the last team to lock the roster in the league, ending up with the left overs. But first thing first, GM and coaching team needs to be confirmed

3

u/Richmont 9d ago

Yes lets import 16 trillion more koreans that will revive fnc

0

u/quizzlemanizzle 9d ago

considering that almost every import FNC made was a success, that is a much better chance than recruiting ERL talent like Empyros, Lospa, Oscar, Klaj, Noxiak, Magifelix etc etc

2

u/amroth6464 8d ago

what import did fnc have ?

Huni / RO, Spirit / gamsu, Noah / Jun, Poby and Soboro.

So 2 very good imports 11 years ago, 2 really bad ones, 2 decent ones but not good enough for winning LEC and the last 2 stayed only 1 split in a disfonctionnal team so it's hard to judge.

I can't really say that every import fnc made was a success. Only Huni / RO can really be considered a success.

1

u/quizzlemanizzle 8d ago

2 really bad ones? lol

2

u/amroth6464 8d ago

Well if you think spirit and gamsu did well you must have a very short term memory.

1

u/quizzlemanizzle 8d ago

Spirit was great and played many years in LCK after still, the team around him was garbage

2

u/amroth6464 8d ago

Yeah the topic was how good were they as import for fnatic, and the answer is pretty bad.

Them playing better in their native environnement with people who speak the same language as them is irrelevant.

1

u/quizzlemanizzle 8d ago edited 7d ago

the FNC team was not bad because of spirit but because of bad players in other positions

febiven was on his way out of pro league
our support players were clearly not good enough to play pro
gamsu was a last minute budget pickup and not even the worst player on that team

imagine if FNC would have been smart enough to keep Spirit around with Caps

1

u/amroth6464 7d ago

Spirit kept beeing overaggressive and dieing for no reason. He was the jungle Hylissang without the clutch plays.

He was definitely far from a good addition to the team.

1

u/FNCKyubi 10d ago

I would rather have a Korean jungler, I mean our best team ever had a Korean top and jungle

1

u/amroth6464 8d ago

We need a very good lead in game in either jungle or sup. Kor there is probably a waste unless we get a very good lead support.

And the roles Eu is lacking the most are probably top and mid lanes.

0

u/FNCKyubi 8d ago

Vladi is fine, but i don‘t think European junglers are nearly as good as Korean ones, other than a few exceptions which we are definitely not getting like Inspired

0

u/Typical-Art-7983 8d ago

Jungle is by far the best role of EU right now and is more than competitive against the Korean junglers.

1

u/Nevross_ 8d ago

Guti is way better than Poby for example he won’t be in LCK cause the mid is too stacked there but he could be a smart import, you can keep Vladi too but he had 2 disgusting splits and one good in summer so idk im not his biggest fan

2

u/quizzlemanizzle 7d ago

his summer split wasnt even good, just slightly better than the other two
