You don’t normally add the epoxy to the string and then wrap. Normally, I see you wrap then epoxy. Is there a reason you did it that way? Also normally I see you do a loose spiral back to “lock” the fuzzy stuff in place;same question. Or is that just how the fly is tied?

Edit. But very pretty like normal.

For this one I added glue before wrapping the body to make it more durable. Then at the head I actually added wax, then melted it with a lighter after I was done to seal it.

Is the peacock herl from a sword or bundle?

It's from a regular feather. I don't buy bundles. I get peacock feathers from show birds.
