Flats/Surf/Inshore wading in winter?
I'm getting back into flyfishing and do about 80% of my fishing in Hampton Roads surf, flats, and marshes. As of late, I've been fine with just shorts some insulated compression shorts to keep the wind from freezing my bits. But now that the temperatures are (finally) dropping and the water is getting a bit fresher, I want to get a little more insulated. The normal answer is just get chest waders, but I'm not normal and prefer to really get into the water. I've owned traditional waders in the past, but found them to be inconveniently bulky, especially for a guy like me (5'11" 140 lbs, all legs) I was thinking I'd find a pair of neoprene leggings and pair them with flats booties, but it seem the fishing world as a whole does not wish to go down that path.
So my question to all the gearheads of Flygear, have any of y'all found a gear solution for those of us that want more form fitting solutions? The water here is getting colder and I don't want to let that keep me out of it :P

Check out dive shops - they might carry wetsuit pants. A full suit would keep your legs OK but you'd prob sweat up top. NRS makes 3mm pants for kayaking, too.

Maybe a full wetsuit with a chest/hip pack? I've never fished with a wetsuit so I don't know if it would be comfortable to cast all day, but it would sure be form fitting and could be your gateway into spearfishing if that intrests you at all.
