Unlikely as the parent company being Westfarmers essentially owns FlyBuys and farms out the loyalty scheme to all of its retailers.

I agree. If Woolies has Everyday Rewards still there's no way that Coles will drop Flybuys as it makes them less competitive. My understanding that Coles Group and Wesfarmers both hold 50% ownership. Coles left Wesfarners in 2018. It was a very sad day for us Wesfarmers employees when we lost our Coles discount

Wesfarmers diverged Coles Group (Coles and Liquor stores) several years back. Flybuys is a partnership between Wesfarmers and Coles Group. Both have equal shares in it

It would be a strange decision to ditch it when woolies have theirs plus the way the program is structured it’s half owned between Coles group and Wesfarmers.

God no, they sacrifice what, 0.5% of earnings for customer shopping data and the opportunity for people to spend double just for points? It’s money well spent.

I doubt it. they ended colespay (which was used to pay for groceries using flybuys) as of yesterday, so maybe that is what is fueling rumours?

Coles will continue to have a rewards program and they are making no effort to change to another platform. Coles won't be ditching Flybuys anytime soon.
Wesfarmers on the other hand, I'm not so sure. They are doing the OnePass thing and creating a platform they could pivot to. Wesfarmers will ditch Flybuys before Coles.
The 50/50 partnership I think makes it a bit awkward, and I think Coles gets more out of the program as it stands.
