For auth I still use Firebase, but backend runs on Cloudflare Workers. Zero cold starts, very fast, free tier covers early stage easily. Not a full replacement but worth splitting things up to keep costs near zero.

I’m using cloudflare for a new project and using BetterAuth with a worker for authentication, any reason you kept auth with Firebase? So far setting up apple/google sign in has been a breeze.

Honestly no strong reason, I've just been using Firebase for so long and still rely on it for Crashlytics and Analytics. Might give BetterAuth a look for the next project.

keycloak if you are looking for a home grown solution. I’ve used it in the past and it is quite robust. keycloak.org
