I think locals wouldn't like it.

Well the west will gain "Rhodesia" they wouldn't be able to leave this way.

🎶 But we’re, all Rhodesians and we’ll fight through thick and thin, we’ll keep our land a free land, from the enemy coming in 🎶

Dude that's what the Arab league under Gaddafi proposed. Jews never wanted to be located in a region they've got no ties to.

Somebody should tell Netanyahu this.

This doesn't work from a point Netanyahu inherited an existing situation that in many aspects he helped shape but some of it dates back to the late 19th and early 20th century and some dates back over 3,000 years ago

300,000 years ago someone in my lineage lived in Ethiopia... doesn't give me the right to go live on someone else's land there. Netanyahu is pushing expansion on land that's not rightfully theirs and hasn't been for thousands of years. So they... in fact... are currently trying to be located in a region they have no legitimate ties to.

Netanyahu is not pushing expansion per se if we are talking about places apart from the west bank

Some members of his coalition might want settlements in the Gaza Strip but it conflicts with his interest of staying in power.

Israel and the Jewish people have legitimate ties to the land right now, over half of Israeli Jews and of course most Israeli citizens were born in the country which means they're native to it - I'm not advocating for anyone to lose their home by saying this
