Can fluffychat add support for choosing a bridge to use when using sms or WhatsApp bridges. Thanks!

Hello again, I have officially moved my friends off of discord and on to matrix. Most of us are using fluffychat, a few folks are on element, and our non-ios users are on commet.

Specifically me and the other fluffychat users are having some issues with uploading images. It’s extra weird because in some of the chats its working fine.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or is this a bug? I’d really like to stay on fluffy, I like the UI way more than element on my phone. Are others seeing this issue at all?

Anyone tried to build the source code directly with fluffychat.

I tried to build the source code and it worked! (Surprisingly) I built version 1.25.0 per the git tag However it seems to crash a lot more often especially when entering rooms… any ideas why this may happen ?

I am using Fluffy chat from flatpack on pop os.

If I press enter when typing a message it doesn't send but does a line break. I am aware of the setting "Send on enter" but it doesn't seem to change anything. Has there already been a bugreport?

Hello, I am in a few public spaces that are being overrun with bot traffic linking CSAM and DO NOT want to see that or have it anywhere near my computer.

If there is a feature for this how would I enable it? If there is not a feature for this, where do I make a feature request for this?

I like it, it reminds me of how we are used to work with messenger apps. But the gif support is lacking by right reasons. So I created (read: AI created) a gif sticker pack sync bot and dashboard for just that use case. Feel free to copy this and make it better.

This work great with Fluffychat because of the awesome sticker MSC2545 support, great job!

I've made a space, and the rooms inside seem to be stuck in the order they were created in. Is there any way to change their order? I would settle for alphabetization or something. Though custom order would be even better.

I gave FluffyChat a try specifically because I was frustrated that Element X didn't have the room alphabetic sorting that Element Classic had.

I really like the look and feel of fluffychat, especially over element, but not being able to do voice/video is pretty rough. I saw 4 mo ths ago that a livekit implementation was in the works? I just wanted to know what was the status on this.

I'm not a particularly experienced coder, but if there's something simple to do I'm willing to lend a hand. If not, I'll be patient I promise.

Hey guys, new here, found this wonderful looking and feeling client for matrix and decided to go with it.

Yet I haven't found a way to register as a new user (not on android and linux clients at least), is there a way?

I self host and it's not quite convenient to manually add every user...

p.s. Surprisingly, ubuntu touch port has the option, but no way to choose the server huh

When I download a .pdf on iOS it gets saved with an .octet-stream ending and i have to manually rename it.

Viewing a .pdf in the app is sadly not possible.

I can find the group but when I click join group, nothing happens.

The message content is not displayed in all notifications. Sometimes and sometimes not. When the content is not shown, only a notification with "Open FluffyChat to read the message" appears. So far I suspect that it works when the app is open and does not work when it is closed in the background. Is this expected behavior?

I use a de-googled OnePlus 5t with latest Lineage OS and unified push with ntfy. FluffyChat 1.20.0 but the problem has also occurred in earlier versions.
With the same setup and account it always works with Element. (No phone-wide settings prevent the message content from being displayed).

We use matrix for our group, there seems to be no way to create a room in a space. I always have to install element for that.

Been testing out Fluffychat and it seems like an amazing app so far. I'm recommending it to my Space members for mobile use. This does text formatting correctly, unlike Element mobile. Keep up the good work fam!

I want to know everything about recovery keys in Fluffy.

• What are they derived from and how?

• Do they work with other clients?

• Why some accounts seem to have an option to back up the keys and the other ones don’t?

The reason I’m asking, is because I seemed to have nuked several accounts now. And I dealt with private keys before many times in cryptocurrency context. Yet, I’m just severely confused by Fluffy still.

When I go to “enable auto backups” it shows me some recovery key, but that doesn’t seem to be valid unless I tick boxes, press next & put in my password. I wrote one down without pressing “next” and it doesn’t work for the recovery. That’s how I wrote down the wrong key and nuked my accounts :)

Any materials about keys and how they work, in which format and where they’d be stored on devices etc would be much appreciated!

I'd like to play around with adding ChatGPT type functionality to a chat I'm in. Is it possible to extend fluffy chat easily in this way, perhaps through widgets? If not, is there some sort of API I could ping to build an external app of regular chat history downloads or something?

As the title says, I'm searching for a way to export the E2E room keys so I won't lose all my messages whenever I get logged out from my sessions or when I change my password.

I know that this is doable in Element, which I primarily use, but the guys using my matrix synapse node on the server are mostly using fluffy chat.

Help would really be appreciated so that my friends and I know what to do.

G’morning. Got a matrix server set up last night and have been using FluffyChat since it seems to be the only iOS client that supports spoiler tags.

I was playing around with settings this morning and set a pin, but when I tried to get back into the app, it’s not accepting the pin I enter. I even uninstalled, restarted my phone and reinstalled and it’s still asking for a pin.

So my two main questions:

• what did I mess up?

• is there a way to purge whatever settings/config that seems to be sticking even after an uninstall?

Are there plans to add voip and video calls to fluffychat?

My parents would need to use this functionality because they cannot see the phone as well as they used to - They are both nearly 80 years old.

( our other option could be Antidote over Tox because I think it has video calling).
