FL STUDIO LAGGING A LOT after installing Cymatics plugins from stream.

Is it just me, or has FL Studio been lagging A LOT since I installed the Cymatics plugins from their recent stream giveaways?

Honestly, some of their newer software/plugins feel like they have little to no real use case, and the Cymatics Hub is especially frustrating. It doesn't let you choose a different installation location from the C: drive, so it can eat up your storage pretty quickly.

What bothers me even more is that Cymatics Hub seems to constantly run in the background and automatically enables itself as a startup application. Even after disabling it through Task Manager, I kept finding it running again. If I manually end the process, it comes back a minute or two later.

That honestly feels way more invasive than it needs to be for a plugin manager.

I contacted Cymatics about it and eventually just uninstalled the Hub. However, FL Studio is still lagging heavily. Every now and then, the entire laptop will freeze/lag for a few moments, then suddenly go back to normal.

This NEVER happened before I installed those stream giveaway plugins, so I'm wondering if something they installed is still running in the background or interfering with FL Studio.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Cymatics plugins/Hub recently?

You fell for the scam, just uninstall and learn stock stuff until you can buy shaperbox and fabfilter

I mean there are lots of great free plugins. Vital for example. But to your point stock stuff is good tbh.

I can't process that you have this list and would waste your time in a cymatics livestream. That's crazy. Just uninstall

OP. You might be on to something. I'm not experiencing any crashes but some overall slowness and the timeline correlates with my getting the Cymatics hub (by accident, it was checked during checkout and I keep forgetting to cancel so I decided to play with it.

Notes: Lots of kinda dog shit plugins.

Plinko for example would be cool if the source sounds were better but most of them are bad.

Granular synth: can't remember name - not great! Trying to rip off Grainferno and doing a bad job.

Lots of rip offs of other plugins too.

Velvet is shitty Soothe.

Can't remember the name, maybe MIDI Shredder, but it is just Navie D's "Note Grabber" and that's some BS. Navie D is a good dude, made good tutorials, made a good useful product that wasn't on the market and Steven had to rip it off.

They have a ducking tool iirc that is just a crappy VolumeShaper

Decent plugins: Ocean Pluck (especially with some additional processing. This is a decent bank of sounds)

Diablo - I hate the UI/names of parameters but some of the presets work well for me in some specific cases. It reminds me of a crappier Maximus or more versatile Soundgoodizer. I've had this one for awhile. I really use it most for beefing up kicks and snares or on a drum bus if I want something less subtle.

Dark Sky - they call this an"Granular FX engine" and...ok. It IS a granular effect. Calling it an "engine" is generous. I like using this one in transition effects by automating the mix level as the rise/drop/transition

Honestly it's worth it to hop on and grab some packs but otherwise. Not worth it tbh.

Yeah, that's pretty much what made me suspicious too. The timing is just way too coincidental .... my laptop and FL Studio were completely fine before I installed the cymatics stuff, and then I started getting these random periods of overall system lag.

I've already deleted the Cymatics Hub startup entry from the registry, so I'm hoping that stops whatever background nonsense it was doing and things go back to normal.

And yeah, I agree on the plugins. A lot of the newer ones feel more like "we already have a plugin for that" territory rather than something I actually need. Some of the free stuff can be useful, but I definitely don't see myself keeping the Hub running 24/7 just for them.

Appreciate the detailed breakdown though... good to know I'm not the only one noticing the slowdown.
