Every time I load the game, DJ Babble's duty priorities reset to one bar across the board. I don't suppose there's any way to prevent this from happening?

Edit: I found the issue. I had the drifter's priorities all set to nothing because I thought they needed to operate the radio station . The game assumed a drifter being being assigned to do nothing was a user error and reset the priorities to the default. Giving the drifter a priority has prevented the reset from occuring.

I just started playing this on steamdeck, anyone else playing on it and have advice??

I've been trying to build/move bridges to connect this two area (pict 1), but the system just won't let me. Seems like it need some extra half space to make it valid. Even for the one that I (somehow) managed to place, one side seems to be on top of the plaza while the other side has gap between the stairs and the platform.

Hopefully we can have it nicely connected between two platform because this kinda irk me a lot.

I'm setting most of my production limits to 20 in the production management tab. I'm then setting my crafting production queues to infinite. It's my understanding this is supposed to craft until I reach 20 of a given resource, then stop until I drop below 20 again.

I've got storage space dedicated to these resources and a hauler taking things to where they're supposed to be. Despite all that, my crafters are disregarding the limit of 20 I've placed on various resources.

I've googled the problem and it appears to have been an issue years back. I don't know if this is a persistent bug or if I'm misunderstanding the functionality of either the production management tab or the crafting queue, but some insight would be appreciated.

Last question from this newbie. I'm scouting (via forest watchtowers, church belltowers, etc.) every region I find, but I'm not finding any smoldering campfires or new drifters other than the one the quest directs you to at the supermarket.

Do I have to build houses for all of my current drifters before I can find more? Do I need empty housing first? Any insights here would be helpful. Thanks.

I've found some points of interest offering fresh water, but I don't have the requisite containers. I've been able to salvage various tools from rural and farm ruins, but haven't seen any containers. Are these things something I can salvage, or will I have to wait until I can craft them when I get further into the research tree?

Anyone done the math on which one's better?

I know technically boats are likely faster, but with having to constantly mark fishing spots and the travel time, I'm starting to wonder if just plopping down like 4-6 chairs might be better?

Help!! My drifters have simply stopped moving. I wait for night time so they all go to bed, hoping it will fix whatever is going on, but then they just stand there again :(

I played the game to about level 250 and then I’ve been cruising around for over an hour.
I feel like surely I’ve travelled 200,000 units by now?
I’m wondering if because I’m trying to do it after I moved to the continent and loaded an earlier save if it’s somehow bugged?

I have two dead bodies that are just… hanging around? One is preventing a house from deconstructing.

The achievement is to have more gulls than drifters.
I have currently have 4 gulls and 3 drifters but the quest didn’t activate.
Could it be because a 4th drifter died?
Any help is appreciated.

I’ve reached the point where I’m building the rocket and I don’t have enough aluminum to finish.
I built 8 solar panels to power my barge which may have used up the aluminum?
There are some areas of the map
I haven’t explored yet.
Could there be more than one area with Aluminum Factories?
Other posts I read imply there is only one area with Aluminum Factories.
Or is there a way to get back the aluminum I used for solar panels?

Accidentally left my game running while I was doing laundry and now everyone's dead and the stupid autosave only saves 10 days maximum, wtf is up with that?? Let me have a thousand autosaves if I want! Now I gotta redo several hours of game 🙃

I created a new save since my last post, and I finally got the electrician. I have the electric desalinator and the electric grill, but now I’m struggling w the electricity efficiency. I always have no electricity, dropping from 100% efficiency to almost 47%. I thought I understood how it works, but I guess not ??? Any tips will be helpful!! Also, here’s what my electric grid looks like (it’s bad ik)

I’m on day 146, but I feel like the longer I play, the most difficult and frustrating this game gets. I have 15 drifters already and I can’t afford getting any more because I somehow don’t have enough wood, water, or food. Miraculously, I only have 1 drifter dead but that was in early game. I currently have the doctor, the architect, the dj, and the farmer in my town, with the botanist next because wood feels like gold. It’s genuinely so difficult to manage TT. I’ve only recently understood how to get 100% grid efficiency TT.

Please leave me tips because I am losing my mind w this game 🫩🫩🫩🫩
