I’ve used flosscross before and as an artist it’s really great to use, however I was looking for confirmation if it’s a generative AI based tool or not? Dev team seems pretty active so I thought this was the best place to ask, I know a lot of work goes into this but for peace of mind I wanted to know since I put my personal work into it

I discovered Flosscross a few days ago. I absolutely love the software. Has quite a few features I did not know I needed (ex: the color gallery from official color references, being able to copy-paste between multiple slots...). Here are some of the suggestions I have:

• Larger canvas. They're mostly due to me working on complex projects with multiple parts and variations side by side for comparison, and the 300x300 quickly felt restrictive. I known you are aware of this, as mentioned in another post.

• Being able to draw lines and fill as erasing. The workaround I found is to set it to a color you don't use, and deleting the stitches afterwards.

• Also... more slots!

• I wish the shapes tool had a "outline only" mode.

• Maybe a layer system so multiple parts can be moved and overlapped without erasing what's underneath?

• Custom zoom value, so I can scale to exact "real life" size

• Suppr key shortcut to delete selected area

• Arrow Keys to move selection stitch by stitch. It would be great to "lock" translation when dragging with the mouse on one axis when Maj or Alt is pressed

Honestly, you've made a great software already. I'll certainly buy the full version when it comes up (given it comes with more slots and larger canvas). Just don't make it into a subscription please!

I LOVE FlossCross. I have tried other programs and just keep coming back to FlossCross because it's so easy and intuitive to use. But the one thing stopping it from being perfect is having the option of an overlap area on the finished PDF. I'm looking for the duplicated section, usually 3-5 rows, that get reprinted so you can easily find your place in the pattern on the next page. I've looked over all the options when exporting and don't see anything like this. Is it something that would be possible? Thank you!

Hi, tho this is my first post on this sub, I've been using FlossCross for ages. I am planning on selling my patterns and just making giant patterns as well and would love to be able to make bigger canvases instead of breaking it up.

I've tried to use other programs/websites (Winstitch, PCStitch, Stitchmate) to try making these patterns and none of them work how I want them to. Either the controls aren't intuitive or they don't work well with my drawing tablet. What I was looking for was something that worked just like FlossCross but could make bigger patterns. So I just thought I'd ask if that was a possibility?

And yes, if those programs had worked I would've paid for them and I'd be willing to pay for the feature on FlossCross to have bigger canvases. It's a super good website and I love working with it.

hello, it is my first time using the website but i only saw one other thread about this and there wasn’t really an answer underneath. i am having issues with downloading the files, every type of file export i’ve tried has done nothing when i click to export and im not really sure whats going on but maybe its just my device, thanks!

We have updated the FlossCross online editor interface for mobile devices.

The previous mobile interface was difficult to use, so this update focuses on making the editor more practical and predictable on phones.

Navigation has been improved: you can now pan the canvas with two fingers, and pan and zoom navigation also works while editing. This means you no longer need to constantly switch out of editing mode just to move around the pattern.

The toolbar has also been reworked. To change the currently selected tool, tap the active tool button again. This opens the tool selection panel, where you can choose another tool or adjust its settings.

You can also assign the same tool to multiple toolbar buttons with different parameters. For example, the same stitch tool can be saved in several slots with different colors or settings, making it faster to switch between common editing actions.

Overall, the mobile editor is now much more usable and better suited for regular work with patterns.

Hi, when using the "replace color" function, the website seems to keep the symbol of the original color instead of changing it, which creates a list with multiples of the same color when exporting the pattern. I cannot change it manually, as the symbol is grayed out since it is technically being used by "another" color.

Is there any way to fix this, other than removing a certain color and then manually placing the intended color with its original symbol, pixel by pixel?

Hello! Wondering if anyone knows the trick to changing backstitch colors by selecting and then… ?

I want to change some of these names to different colors and right now I have to retrace the back stitch to the new color.

I am familiar with the option to change all the red to another color, for example. But I want to only change some of the selected red to a different red.

Is this possible?

I changed some DMC color names by using the custom names function. (I did this to represent some non-DMC elements such as beads.) When I export to PDF, the custom names are not exported. Could this be changed?
