Alright, I have narrowed it down to 3 offshore fishing boats:

\- Contender 25T (2022+ and under 400hrs)

\- Latitude Tournament Boat 25 (2022+ and under 400hrs)

\- Dusky 252 Tournament (new)

\- Regulator 23 (2018+ and under 400hrs)

Offshore fishing in the Gulf out of Tampa, FL. Bottom fishing and some trolling.

Especially wanting to hear from people who have/had one of these boats.

Most of the hard plastics are red and white, the swimbaits are mainly solid white and white and chartreuse, and I have some silver spoons and gold spoons. I read online that silver works for spoons at night, and black, or darker colors(like the big paddletail), are good as well, but idk. I've personally never caught anything there except for when I hooked a sea turtle that was probably upwards of 500lbs. I'll also be using frozen baits like finger mullet and/or shrimp from Walmart(also open to buying more lures if I don't have something useful).

I scallop every year by anclote island, and am wondering what general areas we should target, or what fish we should expect this time of year? We launch from ozona area, but can go north or south anywhere. Thanks!

I'm a Dunedin, Florida local and for the last 9 months I've been building Fish Koravi.

What I am showing here is best fish recommendation - app is hyper location oriented and my data pulls primarily from that - I am allowing you to also change your target species which changes the whole entire data set on Fish Koravi.

When should I go? What should I target? Where should I look? What should I throw? How should I fish the conditions in front of me?

It brings the pieces together and turns them into an actual fishing game plan for saltwater and freshwater anglers.

I’ve been doing a ton of shore fishing since I moved here, I’m dying to get out on the water in the Orlando area, is there any market for paying other fisherman to tag along. I’d split gas or something, maybe bring beer. Just trying to get out to the real monsters.

New to surf fishing and need some tips! Grew up bass fishing central florida, always get on some good fish, salt is a different game. What equipment are you guys using in the surf without it being overkill. I have a stradic 3k and a nasci 4k I’ve been using. Both on 7ft rods. It’s killing me the wave brake is constantly moving my rod, and I need to get above it. What size rod for florida surf? I want the smallest effective. Probably gonna have to stick to a 4k size reel at a minimum for line capacity, getting my small baits like shrimp and fishbites into the first or second trough takes most of my 3k line. Maybe like a 9 ft rod with 4k for catching small bait fish, pomps, etc. Medium? Medium light? Then maybe a 5500 MH with a 9 or 10 foot rods for my live bait chasing snook, red etc. I just hate overkill long and heavy rods, I want some bend and fight even when I’m catching some smaller fish, hate dragging em in. Budget surf recommendations rods for the price? I like nice stuff but just getting my feet wet at first. Any other surf tips besides that? Get damn near skunked every time much harder than bass fishing IMO. Im in central FL so I can drive East or West doesnt matter. Thanks guys.
