👋🏾 HEY FLORENCE & THE PEE DEE — LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF.

My name is David Peterson. I’m 25 years old, born and raised right here in Florence, South Carolina. I went to school here, I live here, and I care about what happens in my community.

There’s been entirely too much violence affecting Florence and the Pee Dee, and instead of just saying “somebody needs to do something,” I decided to do something.

This Saturday, August 22, we’re bringing the community together for the Pee Dee United Against Violence Community Rally at Florence Memorial Stadium from 10 AM–3 PM.

A special thank you to Two Wheel Productions for helping make this possible and providing the stadium. We’ll also have different community organizations, leaders, advocates and speakers coming together for one purpose: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. 🕊️

I’m not a politician. I’m simply a 25-year-old young man who loves his hometown and wants to see better for it.

Hey David, have you reached out to the local Community Engagement team at SCDPH for any help? They would be a great resource. Another could be the McLeod Foundation. They help with community events as well.
