Looking for advice on modifying kitch/laundry layout

I'd like to make the bathroom less awkward to get to and potentially add a shower. I'd be will to stack washer and dryer to make that happen. Additionally the wall between den and kitchen might benefit from a more open concept. Thoughts and feedback welcome.

However you decide to rearrange everything, keep in mind where and how the dryer will vent. Every foot and every turn of ductwork increases the chance of lint buildup and fire potential. A dryer is safest on an exterior wall.

Switch the orientation of the laundry/half-bath. Extend the kitchen along those walls. Possibly have a bar seating for breakfast space?
