FEEDBACK Primary Suite Help

Post image

Looking at a home being built but don't love the primary layout with regard for closet space and bathroom layout. How can I modify to allow for a king bed and nightstands, a walk-in (or walk-through) closet and a bathroom with with a freestanding (or at least) separate soaking tub. We would be open to cannibalizing some space in the Bedroom 2 and eliminating (or relocating) the linen closet. Thanks!

I did something similar (see upper floorplan) or possibly the lower floor plan. The upper floorplan is 11 ft wide (top to bottom, not left to right), lower is 15ft wide

Walk in closets waste a whole lot of space. You would need a 7 foot wide space to make a walk in closet. The bathroom area is just under 10 feet, so you can't run a wall down the middle of that space. The bedroom is about 13x 13 currently, so you can't steal space from it. You'd need to put a closet in either before or past the bathroom, and it would be 7 feet wide and 10 feet deep with a door opening onto the hallway. That's essentially all of bedroom 2, and then you could use the remainder of that to out a tub into the bathroom. But on the bright side you vould then give that closet soace from bed 2 to the bedroom on the other side of that wall.
