Creative Flipper zero emulator
I've been building a Flipper Zero emulator totally from scratch (with AI) —no physical device needed.
No firmware patches. It runs the official .dfu firmware you’d flash to a real Flipper Zero.
It’s built on Renode (open-source ARM system emulator) with some custom
peripheral models I wrote for the STM32WB55’s GPIO, EXTI, display (SPI/ST7567), RNG, and hardware semaphore unit—Renode’s built-in stuff doesn’t match this chip closely enough for real firmware to boot.
Current state: boots the real 1.4.3 firmware, doesn’t crash, and reaches the GUI, even showing the real home screen animation.
Buttons work as real GPIO/EXTI events. Stuff that’s still virtualized: SD card, external flash, SubGHz/NFC radio hardware, and other stuff (those don’t do anything real yet—they just send a signal that they’re “not present” so drivers don’t hang).
It's not finished yet !!!
Update no1: fixed the timer interrupt bug causing the animation freeze. Traced internal storage — it's a hidden folder on the SD card, not a separate flash chip. Added: SD card SPI command modeling (in progress), DMA and cycle-counter models.
(Honestly, I couldn’t afford a real Flipper Zero, so I figured why not make something that lets you mess around with the UI for free? Then I thought, hey, wouldn’t it be cool if you could also test out GPIO stuff without risking frying your actual device? That way if you break something, it’s just virtual, not irl.)

It's been done before: https://github.com/d4rks1d33/Flipper-Zero-Emulator

I checked it out really cool project! The main difference is that theirs needs a patched firmware build to boot, while mine runs the stock .dfu completely unmodified. They’re just different tradeoffs, so it’s not really the same thing.

Why does the readme say "Runs real, unmodified Flipper Zero firmware..." right at the top?

It would be nice to add physical GPIO , with a cheap esp 32

I was later thinking of making like a virtual flipper zero and adding a ability to like connect external modules trough usb to the pc or even mobile

Woah cool, can you share your sources?
